That's also very true. But I just felt that's maybe with this war and what Shepard had done some of that being "threatened by human" has lessened due to his and jacobs (prior)actions. though that doesn't mean it has completely disappeared ether. OK looking at the Gundam seed universe and then there's marvel U's X -Men's among others. It is a tough issue to resolve indeed. ( though the latter should have made some better head way by now by allowing more humans in their organization.) to resemble more ours(universe) (It'll still be there and show's it's ugly head from time to time. but there's evidence that things can get better. ) The latter can be shown as racial / Xenophobic motivated terrorist threats by certain organizations, that don't represent their whole races views as a whole though. But it'll be enough to nearly start all wars if not cause on time. That's Good enough to create stories around too.

I suppose what I am saying is, without a real threat to all species, they will become threats to each other. And that would be an interesting avenue to explore. Shepard unified the galaxy against a common threat. What happens when that threat is gone and thus the bonds that Shepard built do not have that factor holding them together?

Personally, I'd rather like to see what Matt described. It doesn't even have to be Human vs. the rest of the galaxy. It could be a non-council race fighting against the council because they're an elitist bunch of d-bags.

It could be a civil war, where either side is neither right nor wrong, and the new main character would have to choose where they stand, and the consequences would be much more dire than Skyrim's Civil War.

I hope Mass Effect 4, or whatever subtitle it will probably have, takes place hundreds of years after Mass Effect 3, that way there can be a huge changes in the galaxy, such as the revival of the Krogans race, and this War has been brewing for a long time before it explodes.

Yeah, I'm not saying human vs all. Maybe Salarian and Asari vs human and Turian. Maybe a whole new council species and Turian and Geth vs Human, Asari, Quarian, and Salarian. I too would like to see a jump of several hundred years with shifting political alliances, cultural changes to the various races, etc.

This is what I was trying to suggest with my second to last post. I did mention none counsel alien race members. maybe I should have worded it better. But I know I did.

This idea just reminded more of what went down in Brink the game's story " idea wise" before we all found out about the game play at launch wasn't so great.

Though I would suggest some thing slightly different like some one(the character you play as) finding out the cause for this war and trying to find out a way to solve it. So as to not be called " a rip off "some how by some moron, since this idea in conception is so similar. other wise it'll just be viewed as the same.

It seems like Mass Effect 3 is supposed to be the "war" game. Not sure I would want another one.

I don't want it to a war only specific game series . It's so much more and a lot more to explore in this universe other then just that.

The first details on Mass Effect's iOS expansion have been revealed. Mass Effect 3 Infiltrator is described as a companion app to Mass Effect 3 on consoles. Gamers that play the game will increase their "galactic readiness" in the console and PC release, thus increasing their odds of receiving the game's best ending.

From an EA PR pamphlet:

"Take the all-out galactic war in Mass Effect 3 on-the-go with Infiltrator, a fully-featured iOS third-person shooter showcasing stunning graphics and authentic weapons and powers from the Mass Effect series."

"Inspired by the deep and immersive Mass Effect 3 universe, in Infiltrator players will help to free prisoners from a hostile Cerberus base and will receive rewards for collecting evidence of Cerberus' crimes along the way. Every completed rescue and intelligence discovery in Infiltrator will increase a player's Galactic Readiness rating directly through the Galaxy at War system in Mass Effect 3."

No word on how gamers' Infiltrator progress will be shared with Mass Effect 3, although EA Origin integration seems like a safe bet. IGN will have more on Mass Effect Infiltrator soon.

I dont see the problem. Mass Effect has such a great expansive lore. Its cool to experience different aspects of it, be it in the form of the novels, comics or games which arent a part of the main series but provide some insight

No It won't work like that the Cerberus network pack was part of the CE for 2 and main part of the story in ME2. this is a different deal . We will be getting free stuff for sure. with this. But it'll be named differently and most of the free things we will be getting will be through the in game stuff.

In a way it was. It came with the package of the game new, true.(which is also why I also said it was the main part of the story) but they pushed it as much anyway. Ether way any one that get's the game new, will get some thing similar to it and will receive an amount of free in game stuff til they reach a certain month with paid DLC .

The final boss
