If they forgot to add in Rachni, for example....a few would complain but if the rest of the game is stunning it would've gone overlooked. But they messed up on the biggest, most important aspect. The ending, which players have spent five years working towards and waiting for. To mess up on that stage, at the payoff for all of people's work and investment....that is the wrong place to do it and it breeds resentment.

But Pat, with LOST, you didn't have Carlton and Lindelof promising fans that all their questions would be answered. They were not telling them what to expect. Hell, those guys were doing damage control before season six even began.

The ending of LOST is polarizing, but it's harder to compare to this. With LOST, there were so many different type of fans. And most of these fans were the casual kind.

With Mass Effect, people tend to devote themselves to their characters. I don't even know where I'm going with this.

Why is Udina's hair black in this? It was grey in the previous games and I just read Incursion, and its grey there. Why did they change it here and try to make him look younger?

edit: lmfao as much as I like the Credits track, this is a far more fitting song.

The C-Sec guy Bailey has a different hair color too. Grey in last game and brown in ME3. Those citadel guys are all having a mid-life crisis. :oldrazz:

I just did the mission [BLACKOUT]where Cerberus attacked the Citadel. I was amazed that Udina was working for Cerberus, and I did not regret shooting that bastard. Anyway, the best thing about that mission was Thane beating the crap out of the cereal-eating & vase-pissing assassin Kai Leng. Too bad Thane died, I hope Kai Leng will pay for that.[/BLACKOUT]

On another note, the only negative opinion I have (and it's minor) of the game so far is the journal layout. I preferred having the assignments and side quests separated. Besides that, I can't tear myself away from the game.
 
Apparently that "Truth" leak stems from 4chan, so I'd take it with a grain of salt. If true, though, it'd be the best thing in the universe......which is why it's probably fake.

I fully agree about the journal. Also, even though previous ME games didn't feature "active" quests, the ability to activate and deactivate quest lines to give you a better idea of where/what you needed to do would've been a welcome addition in my eyes. The map worked alright, but I mean a bit more detail regarding quests from the journal would've been nice.
 
I don't like that they don't go into detail about assignment/objectives, but rather just show that dumb vague overview. I'm used to it at this point and it's nothing game-breaking, but I don't understand why they couldn't have copy paste it from ME2.

if he was in true mid life crisis mode he'd be chaseing girls just coming out of high school as well, besides that hair change. which usually is the case for guys going through that. sweet find on the vid BTw.

I wouldn't say the free part guarantees it's fake. Unlikely? Sure. But it's not like devs literally never release DLC for free. Heck, even EA released Dead Space 2 DLC for free...even though it was only multiplayer content.

Not saying I believe it, either. Just sayin'.

What would a free "Truth" ending do anyway other than inform the public that they(Bioware) were wrong? I'm sorry I don't see any creative personality going back on their work because whiney gamers feel they should. I see it being more along the lines of, 'fine, you want a new ending we'll give ya one, but you're going to have to pay for it'.

No way in hell is any "true" ending going to be free.
