Mass Effect 3

lol Doubt Bioware will pull an evangelion on us. beside look if you haven't heard there are recent new movies that person did and caved due to that kind of thing and made new movies with recently redone ending in those new movies too . lol I doubt Bioware wants to be doing that for the rest of their lives them selves too.

What? End of Evangelion is awesome, if we got anything that intense in a ME ending, I'd be ecstatic. And I don't think Anno 'caved' because of fan-hate, he simply wanted to revisit the franchise.

'Course, I still haven't finished ME3 just yet, so I have no idea what anyone is really talking about.

I was wondering what you been up to tronny. Are you mid way in game? How are you enjoying it so far?

Yeah, I'm probably about midway. School and such has slowed me down, so it may be awhile. I am enjoying it a lot, though.

i feel stupid asking, but on the galaxy map, what does it mean when a system is blinking blue?

also on my galaxy map, there are reapers in places with no systems but my cursor can move to them..?

I believe it means there is a quest-related objective in that cluster.

well damn i have one blinking on the citadel system, no quests...another on horizon which i have a mission...and another on Minos Wasteland (100%) and no mission.

TBH I think it might be a tad broken (the Citadel anyway) and it constantly blinks if there's a quest you didn't complete but is no longer available.

Seems that way to me, anyway.

that makes sense looking at it... what about the random reapers? that happening with anyone?

I'm a bit late to the ballgame, but I ****ing loved my ending.

I heard about others having the same issue, myself included. My guess is its a bug or a glitch or something.

If it's towards the end of the game, it's normal IIRC that the Reapers show up without clusters you can travel to. It's just to show that the galaxy is being invaded more and more as the game goes on.

But yeah, either way I think the galaxy map is a bit buggy. IMO one thing I didn't like about the galaxy map this time around is how limited you are. In previous games, there were clusters that wouldn't unlock until story elements were played, but this time around you receive missions for clusters you can't even go to until like the 3rd act of the game. It's silly and takes away from the whole "space exploration" feel of the previous games.

Bringing this forward from a few pages back. I could elaborate on some of the points, not to mention specific details, but it's unnecessary. Wolvieboy hit the nail on the head with the flat of the hammer. Kudos to you, sir.

Here's what I think...

There will most definitely be something AFTER ME 3 that will be either ME 4 (Starting a new trilogy) or some kind of large DLC. The 3 different endings, when you think about it, would make 3 completely different ME universes and landscapes for another game... There are little things here and there throughout the game as well that imply something will come after, like Liara asking Shepard how he wants to be remembered etc

Also, whilst i agree that some kind of extended epilogue would have been nice, I certainly don't feel like the lack of it is worthy of the level of 'outrage'. The source of the outrage seems to be that the games ending and climax doesn't meet a lot of fans expectations, that doesn't mean the ending or the games themselves were actually bad.

Fenrir's post one page over (Which I won't quote since it had spoilers) was EXACTLY how I feel.

No matter how many little things I would have liked on top of the ending, the very fact that it left me with such an emotional impact means it worked. It might not be the ending we all wanted, but to call out and demand it be replaced is just unfair and as a writer myself, I couldn't think of anything more horrible and offensive to hear from an audience.

Whilst I don't want Bioware to be rude or show contempt in anyway, right now their priority should be standing by their writers. Sure, doing things for the fans and supporting them is one thing, but if you are a company who would throw the writers of your massive series under the bus over a little fan rage, what kind of message would that send? That you can't stick to your guns? That you buckle and compromise your vision over fan pressure, like Epic?

im enjoying having a second tv... randomly my squad or shep will use a power and the times its actually useful are so rewarding.

Personally I think that
ME4 could star Shepard only thousands of years in the future after awakening from stasis ala Javik
as Garrus jokingly suggested.

Ok so I'm replaying Mass Effect and I COMPLETELY agree with that former Bioware lady who wanted to be able to skip through the action parts and get to the story. It's not that I don't find the combat enjoyable, but I'm trying to just go through the game again to get a refresher on the history of the series. Also after playing ME again it's even more clear how great a leap Bioware made with the sequels.

Im planning on playing the series with default Shep and not worrying about the choices I make. My 2 characters I have as strictly paragon and renegade

I'm playing ME1 again as well.. Playing it how I always play ME games.
