The Black Glove didn’t have a gimmick like the Court of Owls, and they don’t have the same visual appeal. Snyder’s story is a lot more accessible than Morrison’s too.
The Court of Owls storyline served as an introduction to Batman comics for a ton of new fans. That storyline kicked off the New 52. Snyder’s style paired with Capullo’s art reminds me a lot of the DCAU, I think that’s why I enjoyed that pairing so much.
Honestly, Court of Owls and Hush both serve as fantastic introductions to Batman comics, I think that’s why they have so many fans. They can be enjoyed by casual readers, and that’s fine. They may not be the most thought-provoking Batman stories, but they’re very accessible, well-paced stories that would be fine recommendations to new readers. I enjoy Grant Morrison but I wouldn’t recommend his Batman stories to a brand new Batman reader.
