I swear if Martin pulls that **** he did with DAWN... :argh:

Martin is the one who gave War a full price. Korey C and G gave it better than sex.

Is the Double Toasted review spoiler-y?

I don't think it's been posted yet. But I usually watch their reviews after the film. They're HILARIOUS, but they often play clips that I've been avoiding.

It's on soundcloud right now, I dont know when it'll be up on youtube. It's not nearly as spoilerly as you think.

Link? Or too many ****s?

Mind you, I haven't watched anything other than the first trailer so the littlest thing will probably spoil me.

done. ^

Re-watched Rise and Dawn yesterday.

From someone who didn't get the hype for the series and never quite got into it (got bored with Dawn at the cinema 3 years ago), I had a complete 180-degree spin on this franchise. I always thought Rise was ok, but man did I enjoy those 2 films when I re-watched them now!

I am now invested in Ceasar's story and emotionally attached to these characters.

I am hyped for War and SO glad that I gave the series another chance! It truly is one of the great blockbuster franchises from 2010 onward.

Thank you! I feel the problem was age. 3 years ago I was 21 and still looked at CGI spectacles and action in movies. Now, I have started to appreciate stories more and while I love my CGI/spectacles in movies, I really like them packaged around a good story and characters.

I also had a couple of beers before watching Dawn at the cinema those 3 years ago which made me forget so many things from the movie and not appreciate it as I did now.

I honestly think just seeing the War trailer for the first time made me rethink my admiration for the films. I liked them, but I wasn't so hyped about them as I am now. It's funny how a trailer can do that.

ETA: Listed to the Double Toasted review, that was hilarious.

Rise is kinda meh apart from the Caesar scenes, but Dawn was one of the best movies of the year IMO. Hope this can be at the same (even higher?) level, though from spoilers some of its gonna be rough.

Rise is carried a lot by the novelty of a story focusing on apes and the great special effects that accompany it. It is good to go back and rewatch it after Dawn and see where the characters came from, though.

Doesn't seem like they're doing a "Making of" book for this one. :( Unless I've just missed it? *lives in hope*

I bet they drop videos like the one we got today periodically on youtube before the release, and that's like their "making of?"

Just a thought.
