i'll say.
great concept, great execution... your manipulation of the logos to follow the various contours of car, cape etc. is especially impressive. and looking back at your work: such an amazing improvement in terms of anatomy, composition, colours, textures & the whole shebang. i do, however, have a request. how about trying one of your pics from a slightly different angle other than "straight-on"...? it's the next challenge!! all the best

Yeah... tried to really push my style to be a bit more extreme while stripping out a lot of shading and stuff since it was for that brilliantly executed cartoon-style contest. glad you liked it!

i think i mentioned it in the post where i posted the rouge pic by herself, but yes, i totally was going for a 'Juno' vibe with her... I'd just seen the movie right before I started it, so I'm not sure that its for any other reason that I f-ing loved that movie but yes...

Cool... wasn't really think in terms of that, but I can see that... I was going for like... a smiling face with dead eyes, so I guess the reference holds even though it wasn't intentional.

So I f-ing love Guillermo Del Toro and everything he stands for.

I loved 'Blade 2'. I love that on the 'Blade 2' commentary he essentially says he made the movie to test stuff out for 'Hellboy'. I love 'Hellboy'. I can't wait for 'Hellboy 2'....

But more than anything, I was floored by the masterpiece, 'Pan's Labyrinth'. If you haven't seen it... Well, rent it... It's creepy, uplifting, depressing, and beautiful all at the same time.

So I decided to do a pic that features some of the fantasy elements for the movie... The Faun, the fairies, and the freaking crack-out tree that also plays a role in the movie...

Hope you dig it!

I like it. I don't know if it's just my screen but it looks a little dark. You might want to punch up the highlights a bit more on the pan, and on the fairies. Good to see more than just a standing pose, some movement and more depth in your work. Looking forward to seeing more of this kind of work.

Again could just be my old monitor at work.
