It means I don't think it will be another Avengers movie. Yes, these movies made money at the box office, but they also cost a bunch to make. In a business, it's not the actually dollar amount that count, it's the ROI that counts. I'll bet the solo movies have a higher ROI than the Avengers movies.

Even taking ROI into account the fact is the Avengers brand is currently worth Billions and that includes tie ins like ancillary products or how the Disney+ service benefits from series based upon, you guessed it, characters that appeared in the Avengers films.

So... I don't know how a reasonable person is expected to take the opinion that Marvel has closed the door on future Avengers films because they are "too expensive". Mind you I am far from some "Marvel Zombie" and find quite a lot to criticize about the product they put out finding about half always being rather middle of the road and mediocre.

But... No. They are financially successful whatever qualms I have and it's just plain silly to suggest with no evidence that there will be no future Avengers films due to production costs.

Yeah, The next Thor movie is going to be yet another financial disaster for Marvel. At this rate they're going to be out of business before they get to Phase 5.

So, according to your numbers, the 4 Avenger movies cost about 1.785B and their profit was just a hair under 2B. Welllllll.......what kind of ROI is THAT??? If you want to make some real dough, everyone ought to give me money for MY movie. That would be a solid investment. Stay away from these fly by night companies and hook up with someone who knows how to run a top notch operation.

Having been an 11 year season ticket holder the second The Raiders returned to Oakland, I'm all for Kevin paying The Raiders. Unfortunately, Marvel isn't going to make it past phase 5, so that's not going to happen.
