Marvel Films MCU Phase IV!

Yeah...just no to all of that. Sorry :csad:
What would you like to see happening on phase IV? I think Fall of the Hulks would be cool. I liked that story-arc and it could bring the Leader and maybe introduce Rick Jones, She-hulk an red hulk.

I noticed on the new Disney schedule there is no Phase V, if there is a Phase V I think it will be all X-Men. Because most of the best heroes has now left the Avengers.

Wow. I'll be sure to retroactively tell Marvel Comics to stop publishing any Avengers comics without Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow or Hawkeye appearing in them. Cuz... That never happened, right? :o

Only talking about movies, not comic books

It actually did happen in the mid 2000s in a way.

I'm pretty sure that's the joke. The Avengers have the most constantly shifting line-up in all of comics, and it's been that way since the 60s.

And if you think that the only measure of a character is whether or not they have already appeared in the MCU then I think you should just quit watching Marvel film products now and be done with it.

I never said anything close to that.

Personally, I think Phase IV should bring more morally oriented stories. I mean issues that are not just about villain who wants to either controll, destroy or take some kind of revenge on something and the acting heroes in order to maintain the status quo. They should instead go for plots that explore more than two sides of the story and allow the spectator to choose the side.
They should also consider making villains last as they do with heroes. After all, with the exception of Loki, all other villains were somewhat one-dimensional. Marvel has many great villains that should not be killed in the first movie the appear, and if heroes can team up as Avengers, why can not there be Masters of Evil or Intelligencia?
I was thinking it would be cool if they brought back AIM or introduced the Intelligencia or Cabal or Masters Of Evil or Dark Avengers or Thunderbolts with the motivation that the MCU heroes failed Earth against Thanos first time around so a group of villains that view themselves as heroes formed to brutally put down any threat to Earth. This would bring them into conflict with the Avengers.

Like Shield was viewed to compromised to continue (in the movies), the villains would view the Avengers the same way and set out to replace them.

The problem with that motivation is it should've brought them into conflict with the Avengers before any of the time travel stuff happened, unless they weren't ready to go public until after the Time Heist, in which case the motivation loses much of its sting since the Avengers did come back and save the missing people after all.

Will there even be more Avengers movies in the future since the team is effectively defunct at this point, or is the Avengers name too profitable to let go?

Rumors claim that there will be rebranded Avengers line-ups like Dark Avengers, New Avengers or Young Avengers.

But even if that's true, the Avengers branding will probably stick around in the long term anyway. It may just take a few extra years to get to 'Avengers 5'. Anything else would be throwing money away.

Ah, well if they’re anything like the comics that came out previously, then I anticipate something rather good.

Avengers in the Comics always had a revolving and evolving roster. The movies are not going to let the franchise go just because some of the founding MCU members have died or moved on. There are plenty of other Avengers to introduce into the MCU and place in the group, not including the ones still left.

I would look at the template of how the Avengers were built. Besides the Vision they were all introduced as either the lead or a sidekick in a solo movie. If the MCU stays the same you are first looking at choosing the new characters and then introducing them in other films to build their audience

Even the way Vision was introduced, we knew him (as JARVIS) already from Iron Man 1. In Age of Ultron, it was now as if he were just given a physical body.

I don’t know if this has been posted in other threads, but it seems relevant here: basically, Mindy Kaling (and Riz Ahmed, it seems) have talked to Marvel about doing a Ms. Marvel movie.

Mindy Kaling says Marvel's 'interested' in developing Pakistani-American superhero, Ms. Marvel

Well she is too old to play the character certainly. And Riz Ahmed only seems to have one facial expression.

I don't know about it being on the big screen though. Ms Marvel seems more like something you'd find on Disney + or even Hulu. It has that Runaways/ Cloak & Dagger feel about the project.
