Marvel Films MCU Phase IV!

I have more faith in Marvel than to think they would sell out the power of a character firmly rooted in real life atrocities. What would be the reason not to? We still had Nazis very present in TFA. He still punched Hitler in the face. They just didn't want to give the real-life army sci-fi weapons.

We're talking about swapping out which real life atrocities though, which massively complicates things. I personally think that making Magneto Bosniak would work well, but I also realize that almost certainly that would create massive backlash from at least Jewish communities and probably certain groups of Bosnians, Serbs and Croats as well depending on how it is depicted.
I also disagree about the Nazis. Sure they were present, but the focus was almost solely on obtaining the power of the tesseract in order to "control the world", not on any genocide.

Thank you. This way he's still Jewish, but not too old to be a survivor. He can hate humans due to the discrimination he gets for being black and a mutant. They can then cast someone like Giancarlo Esposito in the role. If you have to change his race but keep him Jewish, this would be the way to go.

So on the topic of doctor strange 2 I have a few theories If they make scarlet witch a antagonist it could be she tries to bring quicksilver back through use of the multiverse regardless of that however, I do feel this is the best movie to alter things if they wanted to explain why mutants are suddenly a thing now although I doubt they’d want to change too much.

Thor will make close to a billion, if not surpass it.

Well obviously Thor 4 has the best chance to hit a billion from the announced phase 4 movies but we ll have to wait till the trailer to get a feel.

If BP2 & CM2 arent phase 4 films then it could easily be a phase without a billion dollar movie.

Its not unreasonable to think all of them will do $600-975 mil. Although chances are that at least one hits the billion dollar mark and it could be any of them.

You evidently haven't been reading the facts. None are going to hit 600M with the possible exception of Thor.

That means the Dr Strange 2, with the addition of Wanda, will drop at least 100M at the global box office after we saw Endgame break virtually every box office record in existence. I mean, you saw how the box office numbers for Thor, Iron Man and Cap dropped after Avengers 1 splashed on to the screen, didn't you? Uh, wait a minute, I need to go check something......

Amen. I've wanted to bring back her brother for a long time. I can understand why some would disagree, but I'd like to see them reunited. I'd like to see her grow stronger and control her powers even more. I suspect that's the direction we'll see things go.

Killing Quicksilver was really shortsighted and stupid. He had a unique power set to the group at that time and would bring in a different dynamic for character interaction with the others. Also IMO, before you kill off a hero, I always believe you got to give them their due, at least a little bit. Even if Vision didn’t really come back (not taking Wanda Vision Into account as I have not seen it yet) although I would have liked to have more of him, at least he did have some moments and his place on the team. Tony Stark is on the other end and had several great moments and a great exit. Quicksilver never even got any type of version of a proper super-suit.

I still don't get why they killed Quicksilver. Part of me thinks it was because of a deal with Fox where they used him and Marvel uses Wanda.

But, the reality is that Joss felt someone needed to die for their to be "stakes" and we all know it wasn't going to be one of the original 6, so he was the easiest choice.

Seeing his power set during the Airport fight would have been awesome though.

Thor Love and Thunder would get massive boost from Ragnarok, Infinity War and Endgame, just like Spidey in the last three movies he appeared in before Far From Home. Unless November 2021 has a lot of big movies then I don't see why it wouldn't get 146 million more than Ragnarok in worldwide gross. It would probably outgross Thor 3 as well in North America.

While Dr. Strange 2 would definitely perform bigger than the 1st one. Hopefully Dr. Strange joins the billion dollar grossing films club for cbm as well.

I’ve got no problem with Wanda being a hero if she just teams up with strange that’s fine I’m sure it’ll be a great movie I was more meaning that she might have different ideals than him.

the fact she’s lost vison and her family I’m sure if given a chance she’d want to at least try to get them back and Dr strange is all about protecting their reality that could conflict. She doesn’t have to go full crazy or become a super villain to do that just like how tony and cap had aposing views about the accord but still wanted to protect people sure they fought but ultimately things were reconciled.

I could just as easily see her training with him and who knows maybe he might need a reality where quicksilver is alive and no need for apposition arises if that is even brought up at all.

Wanda was involved with love triangles in the comics. I get some having their... UGH... "ships" but who is to say that Wanda isn't being positioned to take the place of Clea in Strange 2? It's just a theory I have, but if she's learning from Strange she's kinda taking the role Clea had. And we know the MCU isn't afraid of deviations from the comics. And even then, in the comics Wanda was the object of affections from Clint, Wonder Man, Cap and Vision. And let's be honest... There's nothing wrong with that. People can have more than one lover in a life. And this would help Strange since Wanda is already a pretty formidable character in the MCU, if a little opaque in terms of definition. But at least it's not quite the comics where Strange seems to at first kinda be taking advantage of a naive girl. MCU Wanda is already a worldly person, having experienced a lot and she's no slouch in terms of power.

I think an appearance by a "I'm from another Earth in the multiverse" Quicksilver in Strange 2 would be cool. Not really interested in him permanently crossing over, though. But it's always possible that they could pull it off in a great way and change my mind (or it could suck IMO and it's not like marvel would lose sleep over what the hell I think lol).

Hmmmmm.....I hadn't really considered that possibility, but, why not? TBH, I rather hope to see Dormammu (again) and Umar. If so, Clea probably isn't far behind.

Having a speedster shot by a bullet fired by Ultron (who happened to be piloting a plane at the time) didn't have quite the OOMPH of Tony's snap in Endgame. Whedon should have had Quicksilver sacrifice himself to blow up Sokovia and let him go out like a boss.

Why do we need quicksilver to come back exactly? So people can start questioning mcus deaths again and demand tony, nat or loki to come back? No thanks. One of the best decisions the mcu has made so far is dropping the "no one ever dies in comics" trope. Every major death in the mcu stuck so far so i dont want retcons.

And i dont dare if qs was wasted or not. If marvel brings him 6 years after his death thry are opening a very dangerous can of worms.

So to sum it up. No qs resurrection, no wanda going loco. Its really baffles me that people think that a phrase has defined the character.

I dont need major characters to come up and i dont need house of m with wanda creating an extinction event. Thank you very much.

Even though Thor 4 seems to be the logical choice for the biggest movie of Phase 4 i would personally bet on Doctor Strange 2.

Yes the MCU track record is great but they had issues with sequels (IM2 , Thor2 , GoTG2) before and there are a lot of things going against this movie.

A cringe title and a horrible decision to make Jane (who is irrelevant at this point and Portman who is a midget) the next Thor (if it is what they are doing) when they had much better choices.

A $800-900 mil gross wouldnt surprise me.
