Marvel Films MCU X-Men - Part 4

Waiting for some of these fan sites to churn out the "X-Men confirmed for She-Hulk show!" headlines.:o

It's nice to know there are Kitty fans at Marvel Studios

The tweet you're quoting is literally the same actor that played "the CGI version of Colossus from DP and DP2" replying to an article about a Ryan Reynolds Deadpool being a "Go."

I think people are reading his tweet as him coming back. I hope that's wrong (I wouldn't be surprised if he knows nothing. Remember when Liefeld was *****ing online about Feige not continuing Reynolds' DP?). His Colossus looked comic accurate, but we shouldn't settle for "better than the previous Fox version." Let's shoot for the stars.
Am I the only one not keen on this? As much as Deadpool’s Colossus was a massive improvement on the fox version, he was used only as a foil for the title character’s over the top humour.

It works well in the Deadpool movies but do we really want him to be the same in the MCU? He’s arguably the heart of the X-Men, not a joke character that brings no other value to the team.

Well, this probably means that Colossus is off the table for the MCU reboot which does suck. But Ryan obviously got first dibs on him..

Why not both? Films to cover the big storylines and bring in those box office billions and a series to further develop the characters, feature smaller villains, life at the mansion etc. There will surely be multiple film and streaming series based on the X-men.
- Storm D+ show (introduces Shadow King, Callisto/Morlocks, Adversary)- Multi-season

- Alison Blaire: Dazzler - 6 episode miniseries

- Mojoworld - 10 episode (30 min) series

- New Mutants (Introduces Ani-Mator, Cameron Hodge/The Right, Genosha)

- RogueGambit (introduces Reavers, Freedom Force) - 7 eps

- Bishop (introduces Rachel Grey, Cable, Hope) - Multi-season

- X-Factor (Introduces Proteus, Leper Queen/Sapien League, Stryfe) -Multi-season

Loads of potential here. The X-Men films get bigger and bigger each installment due to the shows expanding the mythology and introducing characters/concepts

A true blue LG boyscout like DP Colossus would totally work as the heart of the X-Men. :p He'd be the guy calling the others out when they let their personal angsts or ideological visions get in the way of actually helping people.

This is true. I just meant he needs far more character development and have his own story arc rather than just be there to prop up other characters like in Deadpool.

and..... you know....... show his actual face, instead of just recording the voice.

So after the Evans Cap news from Deadline is anyone else hoping if he does return it involves a team up with Wolverine in WW2?

I could be wrong but I think when he was asked which Marvel character would he like to team up with his answer was Wolverine.

It'ld be great that Cap and Wolverine have been met during WW2

About X-men'debut, I think we should start with Cyclops/Emma instead of Cyclops/Jean
Telling Jean was dead during 3 first phases (2010-2018)

And making her back as Pheonix in future Avengers VS X-men installment

I was thinking the same thing!

That would be cute. I would definitely love to see adamantium claws versus a vibranium shield

That would be pre-adamantium, unless they either set Weapon X way far back or made the adamantium a natural part of his mutation (which would be fine by me).

Yeah, they can do better with the mainline X-Men Colossus.

I would definitely be up for that if they wanted to do it.

is anyone else hoping to see any other x-man/woman aside from Wolverine getting some shine and spotlight for a chance?

I’m really hoping we get Psylocke sooner rather than later, but not sure how they’re going to tackle her complicated origins/background.

yeah, Id like to see her join the X-Men soon, same with Gambit. both really interesting and different characters from the usual (Wolverine, Jean, Beast...).... and waiting 6-8 years to see them joining the team wont be cool. We already got that (eternal) wait at Fox. What about the opposite at Marvel Studios?

That would be super cool.

Also I can see Logan debuting on a D+ show. Maybe we can get some clues in Falcon and the Winter Soldier?

I don't want that colossus in Mcu as well.

I hope so.

Also, that Roger Wardell acc got some things right about WandaVision. But what he said in regards to MCU X-Men is that it will primarily be based on the Ultimate comics, and that Gincarlo Espisto was in talks.

So that's interesting..

Have you seen WandaVision? If so, did you like it?

Oh yes, absolutely. It's a very different type of show. I'm excited that Marvel Studios is experimenting with their formula on D+.

I'm looking forward to seeing how this mystery unravels in the coming weeks. I highly reccomend it

it’s a shame we couldn’t see a proper wolverine show though but Disney+ would never allow anything so family unfriendly

I believe we can probably in the style of the Mandolorian, with cool action/fight scenes definitely not expecting no blood or gore. That probably will except hardcore Logan fans. I would love to see his proper origin, relationship with Silver Fox & Yuriko (Lady Deathstrike), Sabertooth, his time with Weapon X, and maybe a Alpha Flight season. With all that I wouldn’t expect to see him show in a X-Men film until possibly the 3rd film ???
When he does show up I wouldn’t mind him being with Magneto in the Savage Land sent to infiltrate the Xavier student ala Ultimate X-Men Vol 1...or if fans don’t like that Xavier could recruit him from Canada to be more faithful to the 616 comics.

I like this idea. I was a big fan of the Ultimate comics and they way everything was streamlined. The perfect team lineup also with a mix of 05 and ANAD.

Yeah, I loved it too. If the rest of phase 4 is just as good, I won't have much of a problem waiting for the X-Men.

I heard D+ will bring some adult Hulu shows, and the next Deadpool movie is confirmed to be rated-r, so maybe?

But reagardless of that, I don't think his show needs to be violent and gore. They can easily make things work for Logan in a PG-13 way.
