Transformers Megatron's head undergoing a redesign?

they are approaching this movie pretty much the same way the 80's Masters of the Universe movie was approached, what with the greater emphasis on the human story and all. i have a feeling it won't be THAT bad, the effects will be infinitely better at least.

Not even Paul Anderson, Brett Ratner, and Uwe Bol could make anything that bad again with today's technology. I expect the Transformers movie to be loaded with action, great special effects, and an adequate plot. Right now I am cautiously optimistic. However, it better be 10X greater than X3. That film was the biggest disappointment for me since The Phantom Menace.

Add Superman Returns to that list!

Much like Batman 89, Superman Returns was at least a visual wonder and extremely well made.... even if the story (for both) was ultimately pretty stupid. The same can't be said about X3, which had in many ways a very intelligent and thought-provoking story (overall) but utterly executed in a b-movie hack manner.

Underwhelming stories can be forgiven... sometimes you/us (as an audience member) aren't on the same page with the storyteller/filmmakers. But a BADLY made movie is just a badly made movie.

i whole heartedly believe that the only reason superman returns gets such a bad rap is because it simply wasn't the approach most fans wanted. it could've been the single greatest film ever made, but a lot of superman fans would say it sucked because of singers decision not to restart the franchise.

I agree. And, Singer may have "changed" aspects of the suit but at least he didn't give Supes a mohawk, made him 8 feet tall, and gave him an Evil Knievel suit with flames. Or as Dog Lips would say: made him EXTREME! :woot:

I liked Superman Returns. A lot....

And, I guess it depends on what you mean by "worse movie." Like I said, X3 and SR sucked in their own different ways. Personally I can deal with- and even love- a movie that is not what I expected (Batman Begins, Superman Returns). But I can't stand a movie that is crappily made (X3).

Brett Ratner,]

Yes because if you make(not even universally) hated comic book movie, then that makes all your other movies null and void:up:

Oh fanboys. And you wonder why no one respects us:)

what was wrong with SR???

I didn't think Superman Returns was that bad. The only problem I had with it was the dull ending. Lex Luther talked about utilizing Kryptonian technology. I thought he was going to jump into his exosuit made from this technology and fight Superman while he was removing Lex's kryptonian fortress. 10 minutes of the film should have been replaced with nonstop action.:csad:

batman begins was lightyears ahead

I definitely agree with this. There was not one wasted scene in Batman Begins. There were plenty in Superman Returns. In X3 there weren't enough scenes because the movie was too damn short. Adding 10 more mutants to the X-Men story and making the run time 30 minutes less than X2 was horrible math.:cmad:

there's very little chance transformers will be anywhere near as good as SR

begins was definitely better, but SR was not crappily made. it was quite a technical achievement. certainly better edited than BB.

Agreed. The plane sequence shows that Singer had it in him to pull of an exciting superhero movie but the end result was just so drab IMO. He's too cerebral for his own good sometimes.

Superman Returns was much better than batman begins and I predict will be much better than transformers. I'd love to be proven wrong on that last one.
