Well my point stays the same.

Bay alters G1 characters while Beast Wars is a futuristic extension of the G1 universe.
So what would call the Unicron Trilogy? You know, Armada, Energon, and Cybertron. Those of some seriously altered characters, too.

My blood pressure would. though. And I can't imagine someone like yourself even going to see the movies in the theater.
Why would your blood pressure go up? It's not like I stand up in the middle of movies a shout things I wish were better about the movie.

So, are you going to see it at the cinema or just wait for the dvd?

Those are tv series. One would expect new material since there has already has been a G1 tv series.

There hasn't been a decent G1 movie though.

It depends on the trailers and reviews.

If it's supposedly the best of the trilogy, I'll check it out to see if I like it better.

I'm a spider-man fan but I skipped SM3 because it looked so bad.

But your point is lost to the fact that Bay-verse Megatron is not the same character as G1 Megatron.

Just like Beast War's Megatron is not the same character as G1 Megatron.
Beast Machines Megatron is not the same character as G1 Megatron
RID Megatron is not the same character as G1 Megatron.
Armada Megatron is not the same character as G1 Megatron
Energon Megatron is not the same character as G1 Megatron
Cybertron Megatron is not the same character as G1 Megatron
TF Animated Megatron is not the same character as G1 Megatron
TF Prime Megatron is not the same character as G1 Megatron

Hell, G1 toy/Marvel Megatron is not the same character as G1 toon Megatron

They are all different characters.Bay hasnt done anything new in changing the characters.

And truth be told, other then the look, Bay's Megatron wasnt all that different from the G1 toon Megatron.

What do you call the animated film back in 86?

I meant live action movie.

After they make a decent live action G1 trilogy they can alter whatever they want in future TF movies.

But what you fail to see is Bay never set out to tell a G1 story.

Its true that every adaptation is going to get some changes, but Bays films arent an adaptation.

Its a new take on the core concept.

If your going to hate on Bays TF films, do so for the fact that they were bad stories, not for "NOT BEING G1".

but perhaps it needs to be closer to the core concept because there's been the lack of obvious improvement.

Ah, so drastic changes to a TV series is OK, but changing things for a movie is not. You must hate all of these superhero movies that have been made. I mean, they changed so much.

Its as close to the core concept as it can get while being its own.

Would you really want Bay to try to do a G1 adaptation???
What would be wrong with Bay doing a G1 movie?

Less potty humor, more G1 designs and personalities/motivations.

I dont mind the insect-bionicle designs... but the colours need to be the G1 colours... like Iron hide needs to be red. I think the official reason why he's not is that red dont look good on screen? What kind of reason is that :/

It depends on the changes.

I don't really care about Ironhide being black or Bumblebee communicating via radio but I don't like Nolan's Batman origin or Raimi's Peter Parker personality. But the sheer amount of sloppy changes can be a deal breaker.

Your kidding right??

Bay is not capable of telling a good G1 story.

To begin with, much of the G1 toon wasnt very heavy in the good story department, but they had a good few, which were heavy in characterazation.

Something that Bay cant, or chooses not to, deliver.

In Bay films "characters need not apply".

Bay wouldnt be capable of bringing G1 personalities/motivations to a film.

And the designs??

True, I really didnt like Bays choices, but useing G1 designs would have been just as wrong.

G1 TF's looked "man made", they never looked like an alien race.

G1-based designs would have looked fine after the $200 million spit shine.

maybe to the Transformers fans but not to the GA

The Rock had pretty good characters.

and I think G1 robots looked alien enough, any man-made appearance was related to their alt-forms which were based on human vehicles/machines.
