Tom Cruise is good and all, but he's not incapable of making bad movies.

I love Jack Reacher for example, but the sequel is beyond mediocre. The Mummy was awful.

The Mission Impossible movies are like the only franchise stuff he does now that's still really good IMO.

Jack Reacher, The Mummy, Knight & Day. He's trying now with the Edge of Tomorrow sequel. Hell, he's doing Top Gun 2 to continue something super successful from his past.

The mummy movie was a dud. It was laughable to here Crowe call Cruise a young man. The ending was a mess. They were planning for more movies but it was botched.

Whilst not as good as the first, the second JR film is still a solid film, as a franchise entry (if we get more that is).

I thought it was absolute trash. Maybe the worst movie Cruise has ever made. Just completely devoid of any worthwhile or notable qualities. Still haven't seen The Mummy, though, so maybe that one's worse. Wouldn't doubt it with Kurtzman at the helm.

Which is a shame, cause he's a damn fine actor. Last film of his I thought was truly exceptional was Edge of Tomorrow.

I wish he would've done more roles like Les Grossman.

I really liked Knight and Day. I feel like that movie just got a bad rap because Cruise hate was at an all time high when it came out


As for Cruise’s worst film... it has to be either The Mummy or War of the Worlds. I’d probably rank the latter lower because I expect a lot more of Steven Spielberg and when he delivers a steaming pile of elephant ****, that really makes me angry.
