I already mention it a couple pages back

She seems to be with the gang in other scenes

I think it could be Alec Baldwin's character. The location looks like the tunnel scene.

Everyone's got their guns pointed at Cavill's character. Ethan says "The CIA's been infiltrated"

Does Cavill's mustache catch fire? LOL

Apparently, there is going to be a Fallout sneak at IMAX screenings of the new Jurassic World sequel, it is described as a featurette with Tom Cruise & Christopher Mcquarrie.
I don't know if there is any new footage involved, sounds like it's mostly behind the scenes stuff.
The online tease for this mentions Friday specifically, so go today if you can.

So did anybody get a chance to watch this feature at an IMAX screening today?

If anybody was lucky enough to see the IMAX sneak peak for MI:Fallout.
Please feel free to PM me.
And you don't have to be light on spoilers either.
Please be as specific as possible

But what I really want to know is if you are more excited for the film after seeing the preview.
THANKS!

New featurette out there. "New Mission" looks like it is actually a recent segment from Entertainment Tonight.

Oh, almost forgot.
There is a new TV spot out there called Dangerous.
There is a 16 second version. and slightly longer version at 30 Seconds.
Less than a month to go now.
Anybody getting EXCITED?

There is another new spot called Rivalry.
It focuses a bit on Walker.
27 days to go.

Wasn't much of a sneak peek TBH. Mostly it was just about the craziness of Cruise's stunts and how he did most of them for real. Showed a bit more of the helicopter stunt in particular, and how Cruise learned to pilot a copter specifically for it.

Didn't really change my excitement level for the movie one way or another, was still going to see it anyway. :p

The "Christopher McQuarrie deals with Star Wars psychopaths on Twitter" saga is really quite something.

A couple hostile Star Wars loonies turning him off the very idea of jumping onto another franchise with a devoted fanbase is what.

Basically he defended Rian and it went downhill from there.

Sigh. I mean, I wouldn't defend Rian for TLJ, but I doubt this was about his filmmaking decisions. Ugh.

This bit is the source of my heartbreak:

My friend, After five minutes of this, I don’t know why you’re still on Twitter. I would have loved to make a Star Wars film someday. I’m cured.

Any superhero film you would be interested in making? Or did the X-Men and Wolverine experience sour you on making those types of movies. Can't wait to see Fallout.

Nah, after tonight I think I’m good. And thank you. Excited for you to see it.

Sad to hear that. The biggest achievement in most of their lives is denying people like me, the chance to see a McQuarrie superhero movie. I hope you change your mind. Best of luck with the film sir. Pleasure to speak to you. Huge fan of everything you have done.

Much appreciated. And it saddens me, too. I consider myself first and foremost an entertainer. I work for the audience. Tonight I found people I could never work for.

Who, McQ? Of course he was. Those people are nuts. It's just sad is all. I had high hopes for him on a certain other franchise.
I wanted McQuarrie to do Superman (or Green Lantern) as well, especially after reading his script for The Wolverine. It's stuff like this, and the recent news that came out about how the fan backlash nearly drove Ahmed Best to suicide after The Phantom Menace that really highlights how repugnant the fandom and fan culture can be.

In that sense I actually hope more creatives in the industry take this kind of stance, let the insane fanboys know that they're not always entitled to content.

Ha, the threat of being thrown back to the dark ages of quality genre films might be just the "Scared Straight" fandom culture needs.

But it always sucks to see a few bad apples ruin something for everyone else.

:mnm:

As if McQuarrie couldn't get any ****ing cooler.

High five, good sir. High five. People don't deserve the Superman flick you'd make, anyway, leave 'em to whatever inferior director they actually hire.
