Mortal Kombat: Legacy - Part 2

I thought it was on par with the first thus pretty good.

was alright, i know it's a tight budget, but with such a long wait, really should have been at least 30 mins each episode. Unless they plan on releasing seasons much quicker, it all felt like a giant teaser. I wouldn't mind if each season focused on one or two main characters stories, just too much going on to wrap up in sometimes less than 10min episodes.

Production quality was a little better in this than the first season. Things on my mind are:

-What is with the gratuitous use/abuse of cursing?
-I thought the Kitanna/Mileena fight was the best. However, Mileena's acting was painful.
-Ermac was ridiculous looking and the campfire scene was the same mistake they had in Annihilation, so ridiculous .... well except for when Sub-Zero puts out the fire.
-Speaking of Subzero, I liked the guy playing him especially his voice.
-Stryker is really out of place and the guy playing Raiden was forgettable. He needed to sound more like Sub did voice/emote-wise.
-Overall liked the fighting.

2nd season wasn't bad, but overall i enjoyed the 1st season much better

the choreography and cinematography improved a lot though

it was awesome to see old Shang back. i really loved the scene between Shang and Liu in the restaurant.

i expected more fights though and the tournament itself seemed lacking. didn't even seem like a tournament but more like a game of capture the flag.

This was ****ing awesome. Much improvement from the first season, which I still enjoyed but S2 has me super pumped for S3. It's a great fresh take on the MK world with enough new material to keep it exciting, but enough nods to the games and previous films to keep die hards like myself satisfied.

Major Likes:
-Kenshi was a total badass
-Mother****ing Shang Tsung
-Bryan Tee
-Casper Van Dien nailed the role as Cage
-Fatalities
-Higher production value since the budget didn't get dumped onto another robot fight
-Sub-Zero's epic voice, and practical use of his "slide" attack. SZ was always ,y favorite character and besides the goofy armor, he was awesome.
-Kitana was super hot

Major Dislikes:
-BiHan and Kuai Liang are dead, leaving no opening for another Sub-Zero
-Too many flashbacks
-Raiden didn't do anything
-Ermac didn't look like Ermac
-Johnny Cage's and Strykers "super moves" were never utilized. Really wanted to see a shadow kick.
-I love to swear, but even for MK the F word is used too often
-Scorpion stole Sub-Zero's spine rip fatality

Overall I had a pleasant morning watching this and I hope S3 isn't too far away.

just hope we don't have to wait another 2 years for a 3rd season

then of course, there's the movie

well, they've been saying they want the movie to sync up with the game, and the new game is already in development. So, fingers crossed

Yeah, I didn't like that. I have no trouble with most of the cast saying it, but when in feudal Japan or in the realm of Edenia, I expect something different from the classic F bomb.

I also am not bothered by swearing at all, but it was totally forced in this. I don't think MK necessarily needs all the swearing just to make it bad-ass. Make it bad-ass in other ways.

The swearing seemed like a crutch in this case.

Things I've learned:

-Lui Kang hates Frankie Goes to Hollywood

-The "F" word seems to be the only form of slang communication in the MK world

Yeah, it was so out of place.

I might be alone in this but despite the fact that I had a fair share of gripes with this series, I also have really gravitated towards Samantha Tjhia as Kitana. She seems to really grow in the role of how Kitana is supposed to be in these situations even if she isnt constantly hollering like the games' Kitana(whom I still am a fan of....atleast in the original MK timeline).

Which cast members do all of you want to see return for the MK Movie? I definitely want to see Brian Tee, Casper Van Dien, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa and Eric Steinberg. I thought they all delivered the most solid performances.

The two I'm unsure about are Ian Anthony Dale and Dan Southworth. And the ones I definitely want to see gone are Eric Jacobus as Stryker, bring back Tahmoh Penikett. And David Lee McInnis was just so unimpressive as Raiden.

Just saw the first episode, and it did not leave a good impression
Hope the second episode is better

Oh, and I found something awesome that I'll just leave here.

They made him not boring. But now they turned Kung Lao into a goody two shoes.

I prefer Liu Kang in the first movie, that one is the best version of the character
This one is boring

Where's Jax? Where's Sonya? Where's Kano?
The other two Lin Kuei members we saw by the end of last season?

I hope we get more but yeah where are all the other missing characters from first season?

Scheduling conflicts. I think that's the reason Sonya and Jax weren't back.

Man, the actress playing Kitanna and Mileena was pretty cringe worthy.

Overall not bad production value, but if they want to make this a film that's actually good, they really need to work on their scriptwriting and acting.

I think the acting part won't be a big issue, because they'll probably just recast the majority anyway. There are only a handful of actors I want to see them carry over into the Movie.

Yeah, but even if they have great actors, they're going to have to improve their scriptwriting too. They have some pretty good ideas, but then some others....that aren't quite so good.

The thing I'm still unsure about is how exactly they're going to do this concept well in a film. You're just not going to be able to give a solid backstory to close to 20 characters.
