My guess on why the Venom storyline will suck.

You know whats funny about you blasting someone you don't know? Your sig that makes comments about you being kicked out of a board for something you didn't do... kind of makes me wonder if you *acutally* did what you claim you're innocent from.

Since Raimi loves villains with an emotional story's here how I'd do it:

Harry creates the symbiote as a cure for cancer. But he also makes it so that it's a living organism that takes over it's wearer and he make sure it finds it's way to Peter, this way he'll go crazy and will fall in front of the public's eye.

Of course, he says to Sandman that if he kills Peter he'll get the suit to cure his daughter.

Raimi always said that he never understood why Brock hated Spider-Man that much...Well...first up Spidey steals Eddie's camera because he doesn't want anyone to take his place as JJJ's official Spidey photograph and then he loses his job. Sandman and his wife then kidnap Gwen, Eddie's girlfriend because they know's she worth alot.

Spidey at this point's got the black suit and he trashes Sandman and continually beat on him until Mrs Marko intervein and tells him to leave him alone or she will shoot Gwen. Bad Spidey doesn't care and seemingly kills Sandman and Gwen is shot. She doesn't die but falls in a coma.

Eddie is mighty pissed and goes to Mrs Marko hospital room where she was taken after being arrested and forces her to do an interview which ends in her ''suicide'' as in Eddie slice her wrists and let her bleed to death.

But the daughter saw what happened and tells it to Spidey which exposes Brock as a murderer. He hides in a church to escapes the cop and of course Peter drops the suit in there.

Which leads to Venom.



Emotion much. I'd hate to see that myself but it fits in with the ''villain with a tear filled story'' thing Raimi seems to like.

why would harry want to cure cancer?
I could only see it for financial gain after the Octavius debacle

Because he wants to create something that will bring Spider-Man down but at the same time he make it look like that he's actually doing this for the public good.

tricks scientists to refine it. they do using a single celled organism as a catalyst
harry *****es out.. convinces marko (who's in it for financial gain) to try it
the organism and marko bond.. but it's volitile. marko's dna becomes unstable (sandlike.. but with the power of the goblin formula.. morphic) and the suit becomes sentient (absorbs some human DNA)

Do you not understand that Venom was confirmed by Thomas Haden Church and to a lesser degree Kirsten Dunst? Plus, a no comment by others and a wink wink also confirm it. Even if you don't believe the set reports of Venom, it has basically been confirmed. Not only that, but the black suit Spidey wears has scales, we know that. Why in the world would it have scales if it weren't alive?

There would be no black suit if there wasn't a symbiote. There was no storyline in the comics with a black suit and no symbiote. Raimi has kept the integrity of the comics intact. I'm not saying he hasn't made changes, but the spirit is intact. Your theory is stupid, implausible, and already shown to be untrue and everyone knows it. Either the symbiote will be lab grown or brought home by Jamesons son (an astronaut ), a plot point already raised in SM2. Take it like a man.

1. symbiote is based on spider-woman's black suit... so yes there was a black suit before the symbiote.. also afterwards (same suit, no symbiote)

2. nothing is certain until it's officially confirmed... you can speculate all you want but it doesn't make it true until it's announced. (seeing is believing)

3. believe it or not, a suit can have scales and NOT be alive. take midevil armor for example... it's all based on a metal scale design. Although, the scales are a strong indication that it MIGHT be alive... there is no confirmation as of yet.... I do agree that it is alive though.

4. you don't get your point across by insulting people. You are entitled to your opinion but so is everyone else on this forum, be aware of that.

5. Black suit confirmed... no word on Venom yet.

And I agree that my own original idea was stupid and ridiculous. You seem to forget that i was saying that IF this happened... it would SUCK.

You see, the whole point was that we saw a BLACK suit without it being a symbiote, and I am trying to explain it. That suit doesn't look very "alive", but neither did Spideys originally after he put it on, and he DID make his own black suit after the symbiote, but MJ (I think) convinces him to switch back.

So, go ahead blast me, it doesn't really bother me. It was a stab in the dark, and it did what it intended, it got us to talk about the possible move origins for Venom.

C) What matters is the costume Topher will be wearing, it doesnt matter who plays the part cuz they look the same in the costume.. if the costume is done right then Venom should be done right.

So, we're going to ingore the fact that Brock hasn't seen Parker in YEARS, but that their fathers were scientists working on some sort of a cure for cancer, in the form of a symbiote suit.

Well, that WOULD be exactly how the Ultimate origin went...

Those are some great points. Also, Brock wasn't always HUGE, he took on body building after he was fired from his job. This is another reason why Topher can play the part perfectly well.
