No doubt one of the greatest anime`s that was ever produced. When Eva first came out,it did raise alot of eye brows for some of the content that it had.It also brought Christanity into the Japan mainstream.Even after 10 years, people still talk about Eva.

Weather in the USA or in Japan,Eva will never be forgotten and will always be one of the anime`s that represent Japan.

Put everything that relates to Eva here, questions, comments, discussions, theories, etc.

I liked this anime and thought it was okay, but don't get why it's so gushed over. I honestly didn't see what the big deal was about it...

not trying to offend, but let me ask you this: did you get what the big deal was about Citizen Kane?

I don't know if this was directed at me or not, if it was then here's my answer:...huh? Who/what's Citizen Kane?

I'm not saying it (Eva) was bad; it was wonderfully animated and had an interesting story. I just didn't really see what all the hype was about. I watched the whole thing ,movies included, and have no desire to sit through it again.

So that's where the quote "Rosebud" comes from!

Anyway, I went to IMDB for it, sounds interesting. I'll have to rent this one.
    Thanks!:)

You would be advised to get the Plantium Box set, because that has everything uncut. While with other sets, some things would be changed like curses, nudity or violence.

Another option would to have gotten the Eva on VHS,most did,but they no longer sell Eva in that format.Eva on VHS was also absolutely uncut, from when it was first translated.

I hear there are some bonus features with the Plat Eva as well.
