I'm not certain, but I think it was around 45m.

wow, Fox really believes in the property, if they gave it such a big budget....

Hey slug do you know if the delay in Brazil approving this deal buys Fox some time to get some potential projects off the ground? should we be worried? That this might buy them some time?
A mid-budget film isn't a bad idea. Look to movies by Blumhouse. It's possible for a movie to be a success without cracking a half billion unlike some movies. New Mutants is a risk given the lack of known characters to the general audience.wow, Fox really believes in the property, if they gave it such a big budget....

and that is exactly the problem of Fox, they dont see all the potential "because they arent popular mutants, and Logan and Magneto arent in the movie"A mid-budget film isn't a bad idea. a cameo by a cooler, more mature (but still child) X-23 could save it at the endand that is exactly the problem of Fox, they dont see all the potential "because they arent popular mutants, and Logan and Magneto arent in the movie"
Time for this franchise to end under this limited studio.
I‘m super saddened by the state of this movie. I thought making a horror movie set in the X-Men universe was such a smart idea. Especially after the success of It and the Conjuring.
I re-read the first run of New Mutants and it is really such a dark and twisted setting during the demon bear saga or magik’s History in limbo. i hope we will see the movie soon on a streaming Site at least.
as much as I liked X23 and Dafne, I was against the idea of forcing her in this movie. That sounds like typical Fox b**** and the New Mutants deserve their own movie without anyone with claws stealing their spotlight too
While I personally never believed that a horror film was the best format to introduce these characters to the people, (We thought that a lighter tone would be the best introduction, with darker elements better to explore in sequels.) We also knew it wouldn't be impossible if done right.
And the script read well, but by the time shooting was completed, Boone had made so many changes that the product was barely recognizable. I mean, we went from the Demon Bear being a huge plot point, to it being in just a couple forgettable scenes. It was crazy.
Perhaps this movie's biggest problem was that Boone sold Fox on the idea of making a horror film with Superheroes in it, (which again, many of us were strongly against) and then delivered a final product that was all over the place & wasn't even scary. It was such a dull, boring, heartless mess.
I've since seen much of Boone's other work and I've thought most of it was generally okay at the very least. Which only serves to further confuse me as to how things got so bad with New Mutants both on camera and bts. I don't know what was going on with Boone or what he was under the influence of while shooting New Mutants, but it's hard for me to believe that this was the same Boone who had directed those other films.
Mmmmmh. John Campea about the New Mutants rumors.
Josh Boone starts filming “The Stand” this spring. The Stand: CBS All Access Orders Stephen King Limited Series
Means he would have to finish up post production on New Mutants before then right?
