Dread if you ever give up on reviewing this show, I've got two critics standing by that I will personally force to watch the show and make them suffer through it. It's not the first time it's happened for them. :p

I can picture it now:

Waldorf: "That really was terrible, wasn't it?"

Statler: "Oh, I don't know, I can think of something worse."

Waldorf: "What's that?"

Statler: "Another episode!"

"DO-HOHOHOHOHO!"

Poor bastards have no idea what they're in for...

Come to think of it, watching Statler and Waldorf bury the show might ALMOST make it worth watching every week.

Waldorf: "This show gets worse every week."

Statler: "I'm actually starting to get scared for these kids."

Waldorf: "You care about these characters?"

Statler: "No, the people making the show. It's gonna leave a stain on all their careers."

"DO-HOHOHOHOHO!"

Hey, Dread. Once again, great review! I hope you continue to review this show, but that would mean you have to keep watching the show. :oldrazz: lol But it seems like you're getting fed up with this show's cheap attempts at humor, which really drag the show down. There's no room for real drama or serious character development with all the side jokes, humors, and interjections (breaking the fourth wall, etc). No continuity whatsoever, which is sad. Have you ever considered emailing Loeb and whoever responsible for this show about how you feel? Who knows, maybe they would listen and try to improve upon the complaints that you - and I'm sure the majority - have on this show. I think you can make some legitimate and strong arguments.

Lol and dred nice review. I get folks who still don't care for the type of show its being. Sure I I agree with some of the issues. But then on other hand I can look past it and watch the episodes with some enjoyment. Will the show be total crap possible. But it could also ge better. Like I keep bringing up the demo is for younger kids, and they did want to try something different with spidey. If it fails, its fails. And then we probably see marvel do something more traditional next time.

Just because the demographic for a tv show is for young kids, doesn't excuse it being total crap.

It is possible to come up with quality programming for kids.

Oh I get that, I was just saying its unright to judge this show to tssm, avengers, yj. Cause it would be apples to oranges deal. But ya there is still the production/writing end that could be better like u said stupid, to more illuminating for kids.

But young kids seem to find some ******ed & stupid stuff funny that teens & adults won't. That seems to be what they are aiming for with this audience. This is not a show for fan boys

Oh, don't get me wrong. I do find some enjoyment out of it. I will still watch this show until the end because it's Spider-Man. :woot: I'm sure I'll get used to all the humors, 4th wall breaking, and things of that nature eventually. lol

Just read a rumor over at CBM that they may cancel The Avengers: EMH in favor of Ultimate Spider-Man.

If they do, MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON THERE PITIFUL SOULS.

You're assuming ALL kids are hive-minds with this statement. Not every kid will be amused by this show's humor. In fact, out of all the children I know that watch the show, including my younger brother, 3 out of 8 actually enjoyed the jokes.

Kids are not that simple-minded. They enjoy good, smart written humor when its done. Even then, some might just watch for the fight scenes or interesting use of powers. Problem is, this show lacks neither, so you can't even achieve the bare minimum in this.

That rumor has been floating around for awhile saying avengers may be dropped for another show. Not for usm. All the shows are separate. And still that cbm article ws taking bits and peices from different interviews from loeb/yost from a few weeks ago. We have no official clue what is going on.

Episode 5 preview clip.

Still irresponsible, still having learned nothing during the course of 4 episodes + off-episode time, woah J.J Jameson is totally right about Spider-Man being a menace. I'll just skip this show till episode 9 which is written by Bendis and has Wolvie/Spidey swap bodies.

God, I've never seen Spidey act like such a dumbass before this show. I keep watching because of my love for all things Spidey, but it is just really disheartening that this was made by the people at Marvel.

This show makes me cry but my 7yr. old loves it.

I'll still be around to at least read Dread's reviews. They are the best thing to come out of this whole mess.

agreed... Dread's stuffs are always well-thought out... always an enjoyable read... thanks Dread... :word:

Wow, how irresponsible, even after the death of Uncle Ben. :/

Meanwhile in Spidey's inner thoughts: I'm not sure how Uncle Ben would fele about this..... Ah screw it, let me think about owning a jetpack, so sweet!

Now I'm just watching out of the hope that I'll see Peter punched repeatedly.

I'm confused. Are kids suppose to like this version of Peter Parker? So far, the only thing he has done is redefine teen *****ery.

Spider-Man is all about responsibility. In this show he's a complete tool. "With great power, comes great responsibility." Seriously, how do you menage to f**k around with the character's mantra like that?

that second clip was very good. Nice to see threat is living laser. And ironman voice actor is pretty good. This guy did the ironman anime too right?
