Yeah, they've just been playing it on a loop since 4PM EST. :)

Even my mom enjoyed that (I'm at my parents house, hiding from Hurricane Sandy). And she has no interest in any of these movies. :oldrazz:

I'm having a hard time viewing the video. Was there anything said about the costume or Days of Future Past?

Nope but Hugh hinted at future for Wolverine post The Wolverine.

It was mentioned some kind of Kryptnate for Wolverine In film. And a lot of talk
about rage and this Is post X-Men trilogy.

Ninjas,The Yakuza, and politicans are threats for Wolverine In film.I would love
It If ninjas was the Hand but fox losing daredevil may not allow that. It's been called the most action packed film In series.

So simple, yet beautiful, and it tells you everything you need to know: 1) that it's a Wolverine film, and 2) it's set in Japan.

Probably one of the better movie posters in recent memory, not to mention that it was done the old fashioned way and not obviously photoshopped to death.

Movie poster makers better start taking notes. This is how you do a movie poster.

In all honesty. i think that hugh and FOX are really sorry for screwing up with orgins.

i still don't know how they screwed up orgins so badly. i mean orgins wasn't even an OK film. It really stained things badly.

luckily they called in Bryan singer and we got first class.

orgins had potential but clearly studio interference messed things up. i mean with orgins they made simple mistakes. It was a badly made film that was an embarassment to hugh and fox. but people all over the world like hugh jackman so much that we all forgave him.

this whole Q&A thing is like say "sorry guys we screwed up last time...we got it down right now...give us another chance.you won't regret it."

and if The Wolverine is good then i will continue to watch hugh. but after the japan story....is there any other classic wolverine story arcs?

i mean they screwed up his orgins story and i hope that Days of future past and The wolverine somehow erase orgins continuity-wise.

It's nice to read this. I was willing to bet that this will be Jackman's last outing as Wolverine. All this talk about dealing with immortality got me thinking: Japan. Muramasa blade. Wolverine dies.

Thankfully, apparently that doesn't seem to be the case.

Well i'm very disappointed with the live chat. The questions were a bit mehh and everything we already knew or figured out. Was boring... nothing new...no details or some info that would excite me.. :( not even a behind scenes vid. Well lets hope for a teaser next month..

I was excited just from hearing how passionate they both were. Haven't seen a director that passionate since Whedon on Avengers.

Agreed. Questions were blah & the answers were too vague.

Best thing about the interview was hearing the comparison to Nolan's Dark Knight films and the constant use of the word "grounded". That gives me hope that Aronofsky's uber-realistic approach to Wolverine is still there to some degree.

Worst thing mentioned was the allusion to "mutants" in the film. The plural sense to the word "mutant" confirms an actual presence by them in the storytelling.

Before all we knew was that there was another mutant inside the well with Wolverine during the WWII sequence. Now we know there's more.

I really don't like the idea of him being surrounded by mutants in this particular story. Him being the only superhuman of the piece made him much more cryptic to those around him. McQuarrie was right in isolating him that way.

I just hope we get a good film. Something at the level of X2.

Did you forget about Silver Samurai being a mutant...

In McQuarrie's screenplay & Aronofsky's screenplay he's not a mutant.

We're yet to receive confirmation that Mangold & Bomback made him one.
Except for it being semi alluded to in the live chat when they were referring to Logan meeting his Kryptonite when it came to his healing.

Not a full confirmation but it seems to imply that Wolverines main physical antagonist will have some sort of mutant ability.

To me by Kryptonite he's referring to
The Muramasa Sword which in Aronofsky's draft is Shingen's weapon of choice when fighting Wolverine.

It plays a huge role in the screenplay. Guess they kept that.

I'm not fond of them changing Silver Samurai to a non-mutant. I don't see the great need for it. I don't want to see another Juggernaut where the character is played around with too much by the writers.

The teaser poster looks good!

I still don't know if this movie is going to be good just because of Hugh Jackman has been super optimistic with this movie and he was like that withn X-Men Origins: Wolverine. So I don't want to take his words. The live chat was cool and insightful though.

I think everyone else has that touch of scepticism about the film. Though saying that I think it's really only due to Origins itself, we don't know enough about the movie to make a good judgement either way at this point (imo). Hopefully the first trailer will allay any fears about the movie.

that teaser poster is awesome! definitely going to get one to hang on my wall
