So I am guessing I was the only one who actually LIKED the Origins movie? :(

I likd the intro credits :awesome:

...and the casting minus WillIam. Lynn Collins is a Goddess!

Nah, I like it. I got X-Men and X2 on Blu-Ray recently and plan on getting Origins too.

I'm not buying The Last Stand...unless its a gift...

Definitely my favorite part of the movie, could even be part of The Wolverine intro without the need for the rest of the Origins story hehe!

Yeah, the intro was well done, Creed was great throughout and Wade Pre Deadpool was cool too. The film really takes a nose dive for me right when hes in Weapon X and getting the adamantium. Cant watch the end of the film without throwing stuff at the screen...

Not at all, I dig it a LOT.

After X3 I didn't want to see it, got dragged to it by my then GF (whose sole desire was to see the then rumored to be naked Jackman). I like it overall and own it.

I'm actually not sure which I dislike more, Origins or X3. Both have good parts, and then some very, very, verryyyyy bad parts. I think Origins frustrates me more, because it had such a good cast. With a solid script it could have been great. So in that sense, I get more annoyed while watching Origins. Not that X3 didn't have a good cast, but it was cramming so many people in there I expected it to feel a bit cluttered.

Origins is a much worse film then X3 imo.

I agree... the only good thing about Origins was Sabretooth and Gambit...and barely.

Gambit was okay to me, I really enjoyed Sabretooth (Liev did great with what he had) and pre-Barakapool Wilson.

But yeah, the rest of the script was just really bad. X3's script, while not good, was more solid overall.

With how well Schreiber did, it makes me wonder what it would have been like if he had great material to work with....

No you're not. I hate the movie but a lot of casual viewers liked the movie.:cwink: The movie got more than 70% rating in the Rotten tomatoes' user ratings which is a good rating.

I don't like the intro credits. Especially the scenes where Wolverine was stopping Sabretooth on killing people. It felt so forced and cheesey and the line from Sabretooth "tell me when its over". Ugh!

Though I hated Gambit's fight scene with Wolverine because Gambit looked like a joke. Plus that scene where Wolverine was destroying the stairs was so awful. Gambit was definitely the best part of the movie! And towards the end it got better when he showed up again.

I can understand liking bits of Origins and The Last Stand. They are after all films about some of my favorite characters growing up. But are either close to a good film? No, not at all. In a world with Nolan's Batman, the MCU and First Class, they look even worse.

I thought it was done well, especially compared to the rest of the film. At least, there was some decent creativity goen on there.

Agree and disagree with you here. Gambits fight was def horrible. He should have went after Creed not Logan. Then the ladder, random powers and cuts that made zero sense...non of it looked good. The films only purpose to use Gambit was to fight Wolverine and use him as a pilot. He just didnt belong in the film at all. Thought Kitsch was great casting though. Shame he didnt have a role here.

While it wouldnt have saved the film, I always thought If the film ended with Deadpool, Gambit and Logan fighting against Strykers forces (experiments) and Sabertooth instead of making Wade Weapon 11 it would have at least been more entertaining and put those characters more to use.Plus you would have three of X mens most bad ass characters fighting together on screen. Could have ended on a much more crowd pleasing and entertaining note.

Sounds like X3...while it had some really good parts in it, it was still a s*** movie. :(

Nah I have to disagree. Wolverine becomes less like Wolverine every movie. So he's even less Wolverine-y in Origins than X3. The whole point of Weapon X in the comics and stuff is that, HE is the killing machine...Origins really screwed that up. It retconned X2 and just made Wolverine into a regular nice joe...not an animal battling his inner self. He's just a guy named Logan who likes to wear plaid shirts.

I am one of those that prefers Origins to X3, the reason I hate X3 so much is that it should have been the best comic book movie ever, and very easily could have been, but apart from a few good bits it was and still is a ragin dissapointment.

Origins should have been better, but it didnt have the potential X3 had, and as a movie I just find it less dissapointing and offensive.

The Weapon X storyline is a pretty classic book to itself. They made some horrible decisions in X3 and instead of learning made even more.

The two most disrespectful things Ive seen in this series are the killing of Cyclops and the handling of Deadpool. How those two things got greenlit is beyond me.

Well...if this one is any good, even though it got Famke in it for a brief time, I might give this one a chance.

well good because I was starting to feel like a minority. I'm not going to argue that Origins is any sort of masterpiece but I found it very entertaining, especially Gambit. :)
