Newuniversal

No. The New Universe came long before the Ultimate line, and it's filled with completely original characters, not modernized versions of 616 characters.

Yea but New Universal is basically the Ultimate version of The New Universe, just like Supreme Power is the Ultimate version of Squadren Supreme.

I'm fairly well versed in the New Universe, and Newuniversal is supposed to be a ultimization... where I'm going with this is where does that giant robo-thingy come from?

Spitfire and the Troubleshooters.

How many issues until we see PSI-Force? Or DP-7? And can Ellis/Larroca make Kickers Inc into something we can be proud of?

DP7! WHOOOO! I'm sorry, but they were my favorite New Universe title. then Nightmask, then Starbrand

I've never heard of the original NU until now, but I really liked the first issue so I'm going to stick with it for a while.

I'm guessing this is the official thread for New Universal?? Hope so, because I LOVE it so far! The artwork is beautiful and the plot is engaging and well-written. I particularly liked this second issue where everyone is starting to discover their powers a bit more.

LOVING this series so far. Took the best parts of the originals and amped them up quite well. I couldn't be happier.

Can't wait for DP7 to show up.

Crap! The second issue is out already! I missed it somehow. x.x

And the Exiles paid a visit to the New Universe? I thought that was impossible?

Yeah, Proteus possessed Justice and they had to get Ellis to help fight him

I'm just curious how they overrode the Living Tribunal. o.o

I'm not sure what happened to the old New Universe of which you speak since there's apparently some problem with it lol. But it is the Exiles, so it could have just been a VERY simillar universe to the NU.

It was sealed off permanant style by the LT from any access, even higher beings can't view it from what I remember.

Oh wow, that does raise an interesting question about the Exiles then. Must have been a very similar universe after all :o

Yeah, that's the explaination that it wasn't the original New Universe, but just a similar one, since I believe something happened in the original NU where several of those characters that were in the Exiles issue were no longer like that or something.

Hmm. That kind of makes the whole effort by the Living Tribunal useless. lol

Yeah, seriously. Why go through the trouble of sealing one away when there are so many similar ones to be tampered with.

Lol, well, from what I've read, it may be because that one specific New Universe world went so much into the crapper, that it posed a danger to anyone else who came to it. Also, in the last Newuniversal, that big computer thing has said it has tried to contact many more New Universe type worlds as well as that one.

It wasn't so much that it was a threat to anybody who came to it, as it was a threat to every dimension around it. It was a multiversal threat that falls into the Living Tribunal's league of problems. Mainly due to the Starbrand itself.

From Marvel

In newuniversal, we find an Earth where everything is related and nothing happens without purpose. So is it a coincidence that John Tensen is a cop? That Kenneth Connell was asleep next to his girlfriend in a field? Is it a coincidence that the tomb Len Carson has been searching for unearthed during the White Event?

The White Event. The celestial phenomenon that changed the Earth as we knew it. A new universe has arrived. Earth is witnessing super humans for the first time.

In newuniversal #3, Warren Ellis and Salvador Larroca continue to bring you the tale of a new beginning for the end of the world. Both Ellis and Larroca have received acclaim for their previous works; now see what happens when these two superstars join forces.

Justice is badass.

The characters looking like celebrities doesn't bother me, except for the fact that I keep thinking of actors better suited for each role. :csad:
