She did and it was awful. They changed the character to work around Halley's limitations

She had the accent in both deleted scenes from X1 and the film itself. The accent was not dropped.

When they dropped the storm origin from script bryan Singer thought GA would wonder why Halle Berry Is speaking with thick accent when no mention is made of her from africa.

Good job just making stuff up.

The origin scene from script and novelization didn't make it, but her origin stayed, hence her accent (as poorly realized as it was).

Solid casting. He definitely has the ears. Really curious to see where they're going with this character.

In X2, Nightcrawler mentions that he has one tattoo/scar for "every sin". Will we be seeing those sins as a Horseman in APOCALYPSE, or will they go the "recruiting" route, and he'll be an original X-Man?

It almost looks like they're moving toward Claremont's modern classic X-Men team for the next series of films after APOCALYPSE. Cyclops, Jean, Storm, Beast, Wolverine, now Nightcrawler and Gambit on the horizon.

I hope their is some interaction with Mystique. X2 was just a tease but I hope he finds out she's his mother. They don't have 2 spend the whole 2 hours on it but it'll add to his character development, being adopted, never knowing who his parents are .what do you guys think?

The mere fact that Singer had Nightcrawler with a thick German accent in X2 says that it means something him. Tone down the histrionics.

Hey, I'm not being hysterical or anything, but I do think it would have been really, really easy to give Colossus a Russian accent and it does annoys me that Bryan didn't care enough to do it. That's all I'm saying.

Bryan wasn't entirely responsible for Moira and Banshee since Vaughn did call the shots on FC, but it goes with the general trend of Americanizing characters.

With Storm, I wish they didn't drop the accent after the not-so-great attempt in X1. I still stand by my theory that they didn't have the resources to hire a proper coach for Halle. Her lines were so minimal and short that any real coach would have been able to get more out of Halle. I'm pretty sure she just made the accent up herself! With X2, they could have tried harder with the longer pre-production.

The question is will they take into account that they originally didn't know him in X2? in which case there would need to be an excuse brought on by either the time travel or apocalypse arrival that makes this happen

logan did ask xavier to get cyclops,jean and storm so i may be wrong but i don't think they will have nightcrawler recruited at same time as those 3

but i do think by the end he will be either apart of the team or helping them in the fight

If they ignore the X2 issues, I personally think Xavier will find Nightcrawler in order to persuade Mystique to do or not do something in the film. Whether she's on his side, totally against him or a horseman I don't know

This definitely lends more credibility to my surmising that this movie is going to be focused (likely too much so) on the parentage of the main characters.

Erik as Quicksilver's father will almost definitely be explored.

Mystique as Nightcrawler's mother will almost definitely be explored (they just better not turn Hank or Erik into his father!.

And Charles and Moira as the parents of Proteus or Legion is, IMO, a very possible storyline. Think about it... why else bring back Rose Byrne? There's almost no real good reason to bring her back, except she's hot (but that is always replaceable) and this possibility of her being the baby momma of Chuck's kid. If I'm right then there are questions that need answering...

1. Did they "do it" way back in First Class at some point between moving into the mansion and her shooting the bullet that ended up paralyzing Charles?

2. If so, are they really going to show some sort of flashback of this?

3. If she allowed this to happen under those circumstances, then was/is she a ho?

Being that the only other logical time for them to get together would be between DOFP and this new movie (since he was some druggy, depressed dude all those other years) then:

4. Would she have been living with Chuck at the mansion all of this time? If so, how rude to force Beast to listen to that all those years.

5. Or was it still a fling, just at a different point in this basterdized timeline, where she went off, likely had to quit her job and instead she became a stay at home mommy on some obscure island in Ireland?

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out, but I'm really thinking that the basis of this movie is going to be grounded in this whole parental crap!
