Apocalypse Nightcrawler in the Apocalypse Movie

So... if Angel is not confirmed yet, what if Nightcrawler materializes inside a wall and loses his legs? Apocalypse approaches him and gives him stronger legs and the ability to teleport no matter where, eyes closed >:3

movies certainly get criticized for their length and there are plenty of films that could have been improved by being longer. I think The Last Stand comes to mind. That could benefited from some more scenes to flesh the story out, as well as give some characters like Jean and new member Angel, much needed characterization. There also should have been more buildup leading into the final battle. I've always thought it was too short for what it was trying to achieve

Eh...one would argue that The Last Stand needed a different director, not more scenes showing off the same directors quality of work.

I actually enjoyed the movie when it was originally released, so I didnt have an immediate hate for Ratner's work. I thought he tried to squeeze too much into too short a time frame. That movie shouldnt have been under 2 hours and I felt that hurt it. It was great for action scenes and special effects, which it focused on, but the characterization and storytelling took a backseat. Given the same amount of action, I think adding more scenes (and possibly longer ones), could have improved it. Theres still about the plot I wouldnt have liked, but I think it would have made for a better film overall than what we got

X3 is a cheap product. I can't even call it a film. It's a cynical paint by numbers excercise that seems like it was made for the sole purpose of spiting Singer.

To the people proposing Singer show a flashback of Mystique and, a very insignificant character from FC, Azazel's supposed relationship for Apocalypse, I'm racking up my brain trying to remember where in X-men, X2 and DOFP Bryan has ever shown a flashback. And I can't think of any. Any takers?

IMO, it's really not needed. And I don't think it's a wasted opportunity at all to not show Azazel as Nightcrawler's dad...

IMO, it's really not needed. And I don't think it's a wasted opportunity at all to not show Azazel as Nightcrawler's dad...

Nevertheless, I stand by my statement that it's not "necessary" to mention Azazel or to make a whole plot point of it. They can still make Mystique Kurt's mom without extensively mentioning the who's, the how's and the when's (ie. without mentioning Azazel...let the audience put 2 and 2 together).

Hey gang, remember that little seen character in FC? the one who had 2-3 lines? the one who's also dead for god-knows-how-long? Well him and Mystique hooked up, not between this movie (Apocalypse) and the last (Days of Future Past). But between the last movie and the movie before that. They also had a baby. All this drama happened off-screen, and created further drama between our main characters, Mystique and Magneto. Mystique just never mentioned any of this before, until now...20 years later.

So yea that red character that you probably barely remember...he's *very* important within the X-men mythos. Look at all the shenanigans he was up to.

On another note, it is also possible for Kurt to be conceived using Azazel's preserved DNA and Mystique's eggs via an alien IVF process, which implies none other than Mr. Sinister... *play scary music and evil cackle*

And they'll be wrong. It's fan service. I'm glad those people will be happy to see 10 extra minutes of footage that muddles the plot rather than further it, but that's all it is.


I fully believe that if it weren't for certain people *****ing NON STOP we would have just gotten the Rogue parts as deleted scenes on the first bluray.

DoFP became sluggish and too talky in the middle portion.

You are making out the likely cameo flashback would just be for azazel rather then from the point of view of mystique, they could show her abandoning kurt just after azazel was captured and how what happened effects her now

3 hours is just too long. I don't think there's a single Marvel movie that was 3 hours long.

a flashback is a flashback and there were those in Singer directed films. If one wants to get nitpicky about then fine but the OP that suggested a flashback didnt specify how he wanted it done. Ones in Apocalypse , for whatever reason, could entail a similar style as has been done in the past

its optional really, you could show a flashback in style of how it was done in X2 with the flashes of highlights to what happened which would probably reduce any reason to get azazel as a cameo since it wouldn't be worth getting the actor back or they could push it abit more as a memory similar to what bryan singer did with DOFP during the scene with charles sitting on the bed remembering when him and raven first met as kids

The other day I was thinking the cast would be complete after Moira if Scarlet Witch and Cable were added andBAMFF! in comes Nightcrawler. Safe to say, nothing I say will ever happen.
