Nine most racist Disney characters ever

They may be on different scales, but both scenarios involve murder (I don't care what those liberal pro-choice advocates say), so in my opinion they are the same on a most basic level. To me, there's no real difference between a mother choosing to kill her child rather than consider adoption, and a gunman shooting someone in cold blood. They're both brutal acts of selfishness, and I don't condone or approve either one.

so is a young woman who knows she won't be able to raise child and chooses to abort worse than a young woman who goes through with the pregnancy but stuffs her child in a dumpster?

Hahaha, the Nazi Donald Duck didn't make the list

OK. I don't see how you can say he's crazy though. He simply believes that life begins at conception. If that is your belief, then abortion is murder, just like shooting someone in the head with a gun. Wherein lies the crazy?

This is bloody moviefan, dude. The same guy who said the death penalty should be the punishment for those who blaspheme. I think its safe to say he's crazy.

I kinda wonder what he thinks about *********ion. :whatever:

Actually, what I said was that I believe the death penalty should be strictly reserved for the most evil and blasphemous (serial murderers, rapists, psychos, etc.). In other words, those individuals who have become so evil that the only method to stop them would be death.

I've addressed this issue before, in a thread now deleted. Basically, since the Bible doesn't even mention the act itself (the story of Onan refers to the "withdrawal method"), then I have no basis for saying it's wrong. However, Jesus did condemn lust, so I suppose it'd be different for every individual, based on whether they can avoid lustful thoughts in this matter.

True Christians don't believe in killing people either way... they also believe in forgiveness for ones sins. Not blowing up or shooting someone for doing something that's morally wrong (to them).
Murder is forbidden in the Ten Commandments, that's true. However, God also commanded many believers in Scripture to battle in wars or seiges...therefore, it is my view that God is still saddened by senseless deaths in times of war, but doesn't consider that to be murder.

Yeah, that's what you meant. :whatever:

1) battles, wars, sieges...do not have to mean death. if anything, your savior jesus christ should have tought you that.

2) you still mention nothing on my main point of forgiveness and how even in the bible, murderers can be forgiven and change.

Or its just one of the many contradictions in a book meant to instill fear and control people during those times and , to a degree, today as well.

Disney's making their older movies into horror movies now.

I hate the Hype so much sometimes.

Hey, don't let the internet missionaries grind you down. Just put them on ignore and it all goes away.

Of course, putting people on ignore can make a thread annoying to read, but that's the price you pay.

I find it interesting (really!) How the "loudest" against all things christian are usually the ones doing the exact same sorts of lowbrow prejudging and stereotyping that they accuse Christians of doing just by faith.

Silly mess that in most cases are laymans misinterps of what actually is followed by all levels of the faith,...

Seriously interesting.

It's not that. It's just that I bet one can go into a random thread, mention Jesus Christ, Christianity or Islam and completely derail the thread, filling it with the same arguments we've seen over and over.

Alright then, let's have a new argument:

I argue that religion is simply a way of categorizing and organizing an individual's interpretation of the universe. While it was important in the early days of humanity for tribal cohesion - "religion" comes from the same root word as ligament, "binding together in one belief" - in the modern era with the advent of democratic thought and new focus on the individual religion must become personal. No one should make an attempt to impose another belief system upon another person. Not only is it disrespectful, it is also futile. A person cannot change their way of perceiving the universe as easily as they can change clothes. A personal philosophy is a lifelong project that requires years upon years of constant revision and introspection.
