It was a great graphic novel, but IMO a poor Batman story.![]()
Well said.

Though I do agree that DV is probably the best Robin origin story (well, the only one I really like anyway).
Rory_bat if you ever get the chance, check Legends of the Dark KNight Number # 100.
There is another version of Robin's origin in the first story there that's pretty solid also that I think would translated to a movie just fine. Plus some great painted artwork.

Here it is folks! Enjoy! (For the alphabetically challenged: CN = Chris Nolan DG = David Goyer)
INTRODUCTION: A Conversation with Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer
I thought the artwork was great as well. What I was disappointed in re: TLH was the wasting of the rogue gallery. I understand that with all of the gang-related conflict (which was fantastic!), something had to get shortchanged, but I think that if you aren't going to do a character justice, just don't put him/her in there at all.Yes, it is slowly paced but the atmosphere is dark and brooding and the artwork is great.
What's the difference between the normal and absolute version?
And when was the absolute version released?

It was released April 7, 2007. I'm not sure what it exactly includes, but it has a bunch of extra stuff, deleted material, the Nolan/Goyer intro and other stuff. The normal version just has the graphic novel and that is it.
Thank you. My normal version is a bit ragged. I think I may pick this up.

There are some truly brilliant moments in there, though.
No prob. It looks to be quite the good investment.

Why is Batman jumping out of a big, blue vaj?
Why is Batman jumping out of a big, blue vag?
EDIT: I opted for rory_bat's more philologically-correct "vag" in lieu of my original rendering of "vaj". Props to Rory, as per usual.
