Now that Hollywood is seemingly targeting the 90's, what do/don't you want to see?

I'm still a little upset that none of the Buffy/Angel spinoffs and continuations ever happened like the Spike movie or the Faith series (which was pitched but Dushku did Tru Calling instead).

Big mistake by Dushku in hindsight. She's basically done nothing but bit parts and voice-over work for years. At least there was a built in fanbase for Faith.

Dushku has a weird career.

BTW, did you guys know she moved back to Boston and is going back to college? Good for her but I also fee like she knows her career isn't going anywhere so that's bittersweet.

So I guess we can finally say Baywatch is out of development hell and is being targeted by Hollywood like all the other 90's stuff. I think the movie would be way better if Phil Lord and Chris Miller were at the helm.

P.S. I just thought of another 90's reboot idea. How would everyone here feel about a Sabrina: The Teenage Witch reboot? I can see that happening as a quirky Teenage Comedy kind of like Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. Anyone see it?

Are You Afraid Of The Dark?
Make it a trilogy of ghost stories being told by The Midnight Society. Something along the lines of Night Train To Terror or Creepshow, but a little more family friendly (like the series was).

They're remaking She's All That? Seriously? But that movie already had the PERFECT remake in Not Another Teen Movie? lol

Anyway... I don't want to see these movies remade but I'm sure it will happen:

Speed
True Lies

Yeah they're remaking it. And I think Robbie Amell seems eager to get a part in it, maybe for Freddy Prinze Jr.'s role.

I'm honestly gonna be mad if he gets into another High School movie as I want him to play Jason the Red Ranger in the new Power Rangers movie.

I for one would never want to see Speed ever return or True Lies.

If Robbie Amell lands the Freddie Prinze role, then they should cast Steven Amell as The Cocky Blond Guy.

BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER!! It's 90's and TV show to movie at the same time. It picks up 10-15 years where the show ended where slayers are dying like flies and Faith and Buffy are the remaining two alive. I want the final battle set in an eerie castle in Britain.

I remember debating whether that could happen a while back on this thread. I think it depends on whether or not Joss Whedon wants to come back to this?

Well Joss better do it now while most of them aren't in their mid-40's. I can see them backpacking thru Europe and working for the Watchers Council or something. Then the active slayers over 16 years of age start dying mysteriously or getting killed and we get left with Faith and Buffy. Willow gets magically trapped or something. Cordie and Xander get back together. Joss can fill in the blanks. If Joss still had his twitter a/c I'd spam tweet him with this.

Continuing the story of the show has a 99% chance of failing. Sex in the City is only show to be successful at continuing on the big screen.

What I dont like about hollywood remaking 90s films and tv shows is that times have changed and they dont make them like they use to. Everything is so brooding and boring. Movies and Tv shows in the 90s had a special feel to them that cant be recaptured. Its always BIGGER = BETTER these days.

True, and Angel (David B) has aged dramatically unless they use CGI. I'd settle for a TV Movie special on SyFy.

TV is a lot better now then it was in 90s. My only complaint is we don't have enough American action cartoons. I feel like the 90s blockbusters were pretty good until 1996 when we started getting tons of those terrible natural disaster movies.
