Russo Brothers straight up said that (Avengers 4) Endgame will focus on the characters that got less focus or didn't show up in Infinity War so probably don't expect much Spidey.

Most of the movie will probably revolve around the remaining heroes.

If they change the timeline it would possibly diverage from Avengers 1 onwards given the spoilery set pics that leaked.

You’re trying hard to ruin my day with that post. You gotta go *snaps fingers*

I was initially hoping for a 5 hour all out battle scene with everyone, following an initial exposition scene (can cover in opening credits), but I can be flexible on that.

I like where your mind is at. I’ll make sure they remember you.

Hey, why in the Endgame trailer Tony´s helmet is damaged on the left when last time we saw it it was damaged the other side?b522188f-26b7-4d0d-a443-3b2a28de8b63.jpg b557dca9-cfb1-4d7a-9dcb-d8c330b289da.jpg

The nanotech repairs and replaces whatever Tony needs it to. When he's running out of the suit pieces, the suit will take from other areas of the suit and use that material to replace whatever Tony needs. We see this in that fight against Thanos where Tony uses the leg pieces to repair the arms so he still has weapons left to use.

So he's just using whatever he has left to form what he can of a helmet.

I think the final battle will be the original 6 versus Thanos , and the "30 characters" scene is just misdirection, as it would make no sense to bring back the dusted before Thanos is defeated, especially as Strange, Wanda, Spidey all finished their character arcs in Infinity War.

I don't see how you do a battle with two dozen characters without it being a huge unfocused mess, especially as Tony, Rhodey, Thor, Carol, Strange, Wanda, and Antman are all that you need to fight Thanos.

Another thing that's off-putting about an "everyone vs Thanos" scene is the fact that any deaths would only happen at the end. If there's multiple deaths I'd want them spaced out rather than all in one scene.

I want Iron Man to be sidelined, injured... Thor gets "zapped out of the universe" and its merely Cap vs Thanos (or whoever the big bad is) for the final fight. He sacrifices himself and somehow that resets./coincides with Captain Marvel/Ant-Man doing something on the side that reverts the dusted heroes back.

This had better be 3 hrs in total. None of that IW being 2 hrs 40 mins, but like 20 minutes of credits. This is the epic conclusion. Massive numbers of fans waited and endured 3 hrs of Avatar as well as the LoTR franchise. They'll do the same for this. I just pray the final cut isn't like 2 hrs 45 minutes.

Maybe two fights, the 1st fight the original six main focus is just getting the gauntlet and reversing things. The last battle things are reversed but Thanos is still alive and fights them.

Replace Rhodey with Cap, he will be in the final fight whatever it is same with Hulk since he wasn't in IWs for more than a minute. Rocket would be more use than Rhodey too imo.

As much as I would love to see it I also think we are only going to see the OG Avengers plus Scott, Carol, Nebula and Rocket go head up with Thanos in the final battle. Maybe some characters do more than others though with heavy hitters like Thor, Hulk and Carol doing the most damage as I don't see how Clint, Cap and Widow could contribute all that much with those characters involved, but who knows the Russo's could come straight out of left field and surprise us. The characters who already got dusted had their moments to shine in IW, and the only ones who could actually do anything significant anyways are Strange, Wanda and Vision.

I sort of have the same issue. I always like to read a few issues of a comic in preparation for a movie. It's sort of an excuse to read old stories. I decided to be stupidly ambitious for this movie and read most of Volume 1 of the Avengers plus West Coast Avengers, Solo Avengers, etc. Then I also added the Heroes Reborn stuff because I know I'll never read it if I don't read it for this. I had it all planned out with a pretty grueling reading schedule to get it all done in time and then they moved the movie up a week so I had to rearrange the schedule.

At this point, I have to read Spider-Woman and Hawkeye miniseries from 1991 or 92, Avengers 372-375 to finish the Gatherer's Saga, all of War Machine and Force Works, including the Hands of the Mandarin crossover, Avengers 380-382, Avengers: The Crossing, the First Sign crossover, Onslaught, the Quicksilver maxi series, Thunderbolts 1-10, and volumes two of Captain America, Iron Man, the Fantastic Four, and the Avengers. I know it's a long time between now and the end of April, but that extra week was definitely helpful, especially since I have to read through some pretty terrible comics.

I'd say this is a first world problem, but I'd really like to invent a number that comes before one. Zero world problems?

This film has me salivating so much that I can't even stop thinking about Avengers 5 or 6 and 7...

Long Live the MCU
Yeah I always love thinking about sequels far into the future. :cwink:

Obviously the real answer then is to have a 3hr 15 min film, undo the snap at the 2 hour mark, 15 min war council scene, then 1 hour of absolute craziness. :funny::o
I'll be down for this.

I hope not, that would be a waste. They could reverse the snap and everyone then works together to defeat Thanos and his men.

It takes skills which luckily the Russos and their guys have plenty of.

Yeah, it's a my world problem - especially when my complaint is it'll be harder to read comics I know will be terrible because they're going to let me watch sooner a movie that will likely be great.

I'll be fine as long as I get to The Crossing by President's Day. After reading that, I might entirely reevaluate my plans, such as by giving up comics entirely ;)

I have a important questions. I can't live with the fact that Loki died... forever. So I wonder what you think about this. Do you think that he will be one of those "heroes" who will come back?
:)

I know it’s an Avengers film and that there are plenty of other characters that need screeen time especially considering Spider-man has a movie coming out and just had a block buster game come out....

But this might be the last time we ever get to see this group of characters on film together so I want some balls to the wall “ all 30 characters in a scene together “ type action. Lol

......with heavy doses of Spider-man

Oh....and of course an epic war council scene ( I got your back Iceman)

I'll be at least a tad bit disappointed if Thanos doesn't end up statued at the end of Endgame. Maybe by soul stone powered Gamora?
