Even though they broke up, Thor did love her, so he probably checks in to see whether or not she got dusted. She doesn't need to appear on screen for that, just a conversation of "She's safe", or "She's dusted" should suffice.

Thor: "Can you use your technology to check on Jane Foster for me?"
Natasha: "Sure. Oh...She's dusted."

They might but I’m not sure. I kinda feel like it was a one-off sorta thing just to wrap up a loose end.

Could be. Having said that...

It seems likely that the plot will involve the Avengers remaking the Gauntlet. If they want to use the soul stone, they probably have to go back there.

Can't he use Stormbreaker to summon the bifrost?

That would mean teleporting to their destination. I mean more like flying through space like Carol. I know Thor can survive in space, but I don't know if he can zip around it like Carol does.

Window isn't going anywhere... not with her solo film in the works.

I'm pretty sure her solo movie will be set in the past, so it is possible she dies in the movie. Next MCU phase is going cosmic. Characters like her and Hawkeye can't keep up anymore. It was laughable enough that Black Widow was able to hold her own against Proxima Midnight and almost mortally wound Glaive in Infinity War.

That Thanos cover is beautiful.

Speaking of him, I am quite surprised there are people out there that think Endgame will feature another villain (simply because it's not named "Part 2", Thanos is not featured a lot on the promo material, etc.)

Wow, do you really think Marvel would build him up so much and make him win in IW, just so that the focus in EG is shifted to another villain that we haven't even seen or it's not even on the poster?!

It's all about Thanos here and the Avengers defeating him.

Agreed. It would be ridiculous to just randomly introduce some new character at the 11th hour that's never been mentioned before and that most audience members don't care about, and have them overshadow the bad guy that people actually care about: Thanos.

I would like the theory that Thanos only plays a small part, though: the film begins with the Avengers trying to find him. Thor and CM find him on his paradise farm, and he tells them that the Gauntlet is broken; they couldn’t reverse the snap even if they wanted to. All the scenes of the Avengers looking sad and depressed are from the time immediately following this revelation. Then, Scott shows up. The Avengers realize the way to reverse the snap is time-travel, etc. If there is a new villain (which I believe there could be) it would be someone who has benefited from the snap. It could be that Thanos decides to stop them in the final act, too. But I just don’t see the main plot of the film revolving around defeating Thanos.

My theory is they trap Thanos in the quantum realm but Cap gets stuck there too holding him off. He saves Tony in the process, cementing their friendship and allowing Tony to retire.

They can’t go back for Cap as they can’t risk releasing Thanos again.

This way, we get a sacrifice but leave the door open to bring Cap back one day in the future. It also allows them to bring back Thanos if they wanted.

"I like this one"
I expect Thor was talking about his new Mjolnir there.

A couple of texts should do it.

Thor: Hey, did you get dusted?
JF: No.
Thor: Cool.

Crazy theory:

I think the cap in the suit at the end is the one from avengers 1 ...

So basically what Star Wars Rebels did with Ezra and Thrawn? :funny:

I'm not laughing at you, I think that's an interesting theory, but Thrawn is all I will think about.

If they did something like that, it'd make Endgame feel less like a finale or sorts.

LOL
best dialogue ever.
Still a better Love-Story than Twilight

I completely agree with @ZenTheAvenger ’s theory. I too believe Cap will sacrifice himself but not die. Tony will live through this, guaranteed. Killing Tony is too morbid of an ending, but Tony retiring and raising a kid with Pepper though? Perfect way to cap (pun intended) his 10 year arc.

Likewise Cap scarificing himself, the kid from Brooklyn who didnt hesitate to throw himself on a grenade in TFA is perfect. I think the final shot we get of Cap is of him and Thanos staring each other down in the Quantum realm, both realizing that they are trapped there forever, Thanos is pissed AF and ready to rip Cap apart and Cap smirks at him, puts up his fists and says “come on, I can do this all day.”

Or something like that, lol.

It's definitely a good theory, but I think they will bring finality to both Cap and Thanos (meaning they will most likely die).

Kinda a shame that the fantastic four and x-men coming into the MCU during phase 4 or 5 will be a little too late as I expect steve rogers to die and tony to retire after this.

I want them all to interact. Hulk better still be around when Thing, Beast and Wolverine are

It's basically what happened to Cap and Red Skull in the 90s Spider-Man cartoon, they both were sucked into a time vortex in combat forever. It's sad but heroic.

Me too. But I do believe that the future of MCU belongs to the X-Men, who has enough characters to spin off than Avengers and more iconic story lines to use. But not having Cap nor Iron Man around for Dr. Doom and Galactus would be rather disappointing.
