That seems kind of pointless to me. Everyone knows that the runtime includes credits so everyone can estimate the pure film time for themselves anyway when hearing the official figure, and less risk of misunderstanding when everyone refers to the same figures. But to each their own.
how is it pointless? Most folks don't list the runtime with credits. How many folks stay around for 10-15mins of credits (other than MCU fans)?

I am guessing they aren't going to use any of the snapped folks for the press tours? ( a good decision in my mind).
Good point. Though, I'd love to have 1 interview featuring a bunch of them discussing the film and their deceased characters.

I blame:

1. Alan Taylor
2. Old MCU committee that has been disbanded prior to Civil Wars release.

Supposedly what we ended up in TDW was a huge salvage job compared to what was initially done.
what's the MCU committee?

Whenever a studio or theater chain lists the runtime of a film, the credits are included in the total. Every single time. Regardless of whether the audience stays through the credits, the theaters have to account for that total time in order to schedule the showtimes for the film during the day.

Yes, I get this. I mean the general public. A film is 95 mins or 145 mins. I'd reckon most don't include the 10mins for credits, because most folks get the Hell out of there once it's over.

what's the MCU committee?

Up until 2015, there was something called the Creative Committee, which consisted of people who worked on the comics and reported back to Ike Perlmutter, the head of Marvel Entertainment. They were mostly comics writers and editors working out of New York who would (nit)pick over the scripts for Marvel Studios films and send notes to the writers and directors suggesting changes to the stories.

Often, the CC clashed with Feige and his staff over creative and budgetary decisions. Joss Whedon hated them and their meddling in his Age of Ultron script contributed to his decision to quit working for Marvel. Things became so bad that Feige himself threatened to quit if Disney did not remove him and Marvel Studios from Perlmutter's control. Thereafter, the Creative Committee was disbanded.

Always the comic writers and editors who ruin it for everyone. :oldrazz:

I was watching ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT earlier and they showed a very quick thing from the movie......
Thor standing in front of Captain Marvel, he extends his arm, and Mjolnir flies into his hand
.....is this known about among people on here?
