Wasn’t Katherine Langford supposed to be in the movie? I didn’t see her or did I miss her? Maybe her part was cut?
I think everyone is misinterpreting what @redhawk23 meant in saying "didn't work" and are reacting without thinking.
Im laughing hysterically at the criticism of pandering having all the women together.I kind of rolled my eyes in the final battle when
All the female heroes were in one shot together charging at thanos. Just felt forced in the women power and took me out of the movie. Call me whatever you want but just like in IW when the 3 on 1 fight happened it just didn't work for me.
I get there badass women who can hold there own but it just feels like pandering to say hey look at us were progressive. Wouldn't it mean more and progressive to just have all the heroes and there genders and race mixed in a lineup and charging at thanos?
I think he was commenting about an earlier post about MARVEL STUDIOS relationship with their directors. He meant that Endgame doesn't work because of the control Marvel excercised on previous films' directors. It works because it works.I apologize if I took the wrong meaning from his post. Maybe I missed some context from an earlier post....but kinda hard to misinterpret "Endgame didn't work".
Again sorry if I missed something.
Is this really their last?Im laughing hysterically at the criticism of pandering having all the women together.
Come on- these movies, at their core, speak to the inner child in all of us-- dont u think its awesome that little girls can have that image in their heads-- little boys too!! My theater erupted in a loud roar of applause on that scene and I literally got chills-- it was an epic moment.
Now was it fan service? Hell yeah, and remind me again what's wrong with thanking fans by rewarding those who have spent over 10 years watching over 20 movies with a hint of what some have been crying for?
I like how one critic called the movie a 'love letter to the fans' -- this was the last movie of the Russos and they heard the public and found a really cool way to incorporate them and make the scene work by and large for most movie goers.
I guess u can call that pandering to fans and making them happy by giving them a moment that will go down in history, okay...if u must and technically I guess it is. But I have to ask u- is that scene really worthy of hate?
It just does so much good I cant I understand singling that scene out as something bad but that's just me. I repect ur opinion even if I wholeheartedly disagree.

I don’t think it is pandering as much as it is setting up the possibility of AForce in the future.I never said I hated the scene I said I rolled my eyes and it didn't work for me. If it inspires little girls thats great but as an adult who knows the real reason and why that scene was put there I indeed begin rolling my eyes. It just came off as pandering to the climate currently going on

One mans 'pandeering' is another man's 'o'opportunity to showcase diversity in an awesome exciting way'-- I guess its all about perspective.I never said I hated the scene I said I rolled my eyes and it didn't work for me. For now yes, but they have repeatedly dropped strong hints about being willing to come back when (if) Marvel do Secret Wars (and also seemed to express some interest when it became apparent that rights to the Fox characters were coming back). Is this really their last?
For me , it was GREAT.Which Im fine with if it leads to an all female avengers film. If it doesn't then welll
This is a very hot take. The last hour of the movie is considered fan service... you are pointing out one instance of said fan service and literally saying it wasn't put in for fans. I personally feel this line of thinking leads to the Black Panther hot take.
Yes, one of my favourite parts. That moment got some of the most deafening roars. It was awesome.
For me , it was GREAT.
We have had ten plus years of the guys being in charge. Nothing wrong with a moment that says that in the MCU, the women can be just as powerful.
I don’t really see why someone would have a beef with Thor, Cap and Iron Man fighting together or an all melee-character scene or a long range beam-based character scene (end of AoU) or an all-flyers scene or a NY-based characters scene or an ex villain-turned-hero scene etc. Any group of characters with a similar bond/linking attribute can have a natural reason for a joint scene IMO. And if a load of women loved this scene do you really want to take it away from them? I totally loved it myself, especially how more and more of them kept appearing as they continued getting closer to impact. But the women have all been right there too the whole time when you look back starting with ironman 2. Heck pepper even killed the bad guy in ironman 3. I can see if someone had beef with just thor, cap and stark fighting thanos as well before the others showed up.

Ok but that’s a different criticism to rolling your eyes because of pandering. Rhodey: I think you should lead with that next time. Not taking anything away from anyone, just saying the shot didn't work. Its ok to not like a shot or scene
That's a bingo. Endgame works like gangbusters. But that's because it was written in reaction to what had come before, not because what had come before was restricted or particularly carefully constructed.I think he was commenting about an earlier post about MARVEL STUDIOS relationship with their directors. He meant that Endgame doesn't work because of the control Marvel excercised on previous films' directors. It works because it works.
There are a lot, and I do mean a LOT of people that think Endgame works just fine. I would go so far as to say a VAST majority. Not saying your opinion isn't valid... all I'm saying is if everybody likes cake but you dont that doesn't mean something is wrong with cake.
