You could have hundreds of male characters all charging against another army of male characters and no one even raises an eyebrow. But if 2 or 3 women have each other's back in a final battle of a movie, that's forced, that's pandering, that's feminism, that's "SJW!!!" and a really big issue apparently.
But I mean yeah, it is kind of forced. Because a bunch of male superheroes teaming up with each other is the norm, it's normal, it's the status quo, with women it's not. If we keep "forcing" female characters, black characters, LGBTQ characters etc. into our media more and more, eventually it will be normalized and no one even thinks about it anymore. That's the whole point!
It's like complaining that putting female actresses into plays in the 17th century is forced, ridiculous and somehow a problem. How are we supposed to normalize having women in plays if it's a problem every time we try it???
