I'm pretty sure its a lot lighter than it looks, hanging it on cables couldn't have been that hard.

It makes sense since its not an actual working vehicle unlike the batpod or tumbler. It only needs the cosmetics, anything else can be done in post. Knowing how practical Nolan is he probably wanted them to build one that actually functions by itself.

In the pics above, who is the second Batman? He looks like one of the Bat Imposters from TDK. So does this confirm the bat imposters return in TDKR? Or do they use body doubles for Batman while filming? Hmmm.. what would be the point of that? Bale is already in the suit. Why do they need another guy in the suit? Stunts?

We all had a good idea that the cables were for the Batwing, but I didn't think the Batwing would move sideways. I am really interested to see how the vehicle moves now.

Just got home from the set. Great shoot once again, we got to see the Batwing operating and shooting out some stuff. Cool pyro stuff tonight, along with snowy sets and Batman getting his make up done right in front of us. Oh, and Chris Nolan walking out like a PIMP!

In almost any set picture Nolan looks like he's always going out to some high class restaurant, he could be filming in the sewers and still look the same. Classy all the way

They wrapped around 1. I got there around 11 and it seemed like a pretty quiet shoot. We couldn't see much but after they finished about a hundred Gotham policeman came out from under the bridge. We even saw Batman leaving the set right before they wrapped. Perfect way to cap off this whole experience.
