Cable has no powers. They burnt out. As to how he survived having the truck thrown at him, well, the truck didn't exactly smoosh him. It missed.

when did he lose his TK?

What was up with him glowing right after surviving from the truck coming at him if he had no powers? I thought it could have been the baby that saved them but it wasnt quite made clear

He lost his TK when he lost his TP. Cable & Deadpool. He got it back briefly when he bonded with the mummudrai, then lost it again.

I didn't recall him glowing. It could have been the baby. It was most likely left deliberately vague.

didnt he use TK when he was in Carey's X-men? I didnt read C&D but I thought he had TK but no TP

He was definetly glowing. Its in the scene where he emerged from the truck wreck

He had access to the infonet and the gavametronic or something-or-other field, which replicated his TP and his TK. They went byebye when Providence went byebye, and the mummudrai went about the same time. So nothing. He didn't have anything during Messiah Complex, either.

i miss Nate Gray, the X-Man...soo much cooler than Cable

Yeah, or not.

I liked Nate in Age of Apocalypse. I liked him when he wound up in 616 and wound up fighting with Cable (and I owned that Cable issue, and the art was frackin' sweet, too). This Shaman and Madelyne Pryor crap, pfft.

The Madelyine Pryor relationship was just sick...the writer was a twisted puppy. I MUCH preferred Threnody and still am waiting to see what happened with their baby...and Warren Ellis turned him into a Shaman...crapola...and people are actually excited for his Astonishing run, not I...not after he ruined three of my favorite books. X-Man, Generation X and X-Force

X-man is like Adam X in that he's a character, I dont see Marvel ever bringing back

Adam X never had his own series. Nate Grey has an actual fanbase...Adam X just has me. X-Man stands as good a chance as Jean at coming back

Ok, that cover is just hilarious.
I am just waiting for that baby to pop someone like in the head or spit up burp in their face while cable's fighting ...maybe an eye blast or a psi bolt (sorry Bish)...

It's either her or Nate that's got a force field going but I dig her little body armor on her chest... she goes from really cute on the cover to like these angry intense adult facial expressions -real emotional extremes for an infant who's not screaming at the time.
She's just like quietly pissed off.Her mood swings look just as crazy as phoenix did~

Diaper rash? Indigestion? she can't possibly be confortable like that...
It's either spider powers or tk that keeps her from sliding off...

CABLE #6
Written by DUANE SWIERCZYNSKI
Penciled by
Cover by ADI GRANOV
“HOMEFRONT”
Special double-sized issue featuring the Uncanny X-Men! Meanwhile, back in the present . . . In the aftermath of the “Messiah Complex” war, Cyclops took a leap of faith and allowed his son Cable to disappear into the time stream with the first new mutant birth since “M” day -- and the future of the dwindling mutant population -- tucked under his arm. Weeks later, he still waits for a sign, however small, that he made the right decision. With evidence pointing to the fact that Bishop has jumped into the timestream and is hot on Cable’s trail, the X-Men’s unquestioned leader is about to make one final power move to protect the fate of mutantkind " one that he might come to regret.
48 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99

I wonder if Cable's gonna do something in the past to cause X-genes to start reappearing in the future.

Cable hasn't been a particularly amazing read, but its integral nature to the current condition of X-Men has really drawn me in. I'm pretty late on the book though. I only have issue 1. I just picked up Messiah Complex last week and I can't wait to read it. I know the basics though. I must admit that for a while, I had given up on Marvel, but what they have done with Spider-Man, The Avengers and the X-Men is nothing short of brilliant.

seems like Cyclops is about to send a strike team into the future to help Cable...what else could he be thinking..has anybody ever stopped to think about Bishop's viewpoint and that HE may actually be right?

well its not like Bishop stopped to explain himself. He just went crazy and homicidal and didnt give anyone the chance to see things from his point of view

In regards to Bishop: That's why I'm glad one of the Cable issue's showed his side.

I have a bit of a silly question about Deadpool...I'm a huge fan of his but one thing has always confused me: his skin condition. I fail to understand whether it's from the constant torture in the Workshop, his cancer, or the introduction of the healing factor?

I'm pretty sure it's due to the introduction of the healing factor, which was given to cure the cancer

I thought that as well. I just feel like they never really elaborated on it. It's like "oh yay, healing factor...but it deforms you?"
