The baby can fit into one of cables hands. its more of a fetus than a baby

Nah..Cable is just freakishly HUGE in this series..Bishop too...their knives are bigger than the baby doom bringer....she could probably fit inside the barrel or chambers of their guns....hmmmm.....

From Marvel.com

After buddying around with Cable for four years, Deadpool has decided to take his act solo once again in August when the Merc with a Mouth gets another shot at his own ongoing series courtesy of writer Daniel Way (WOLVERINE: ORIGINS) and artist Paco Medina (NEW WARRIORS)!

And the excitement doesn't end there, because opening arc of DEADPOOL will bring our "hero" head-to-Skrugly-head with a certain invasion party making its way through the Marvel Universe!

"Deadpool will play a role in [Secret Invasion] that no one else does—or can—and he'll have some real explaining to do after the war is over," editor Axel Alonso teases.

When it came time to pick the creative team for DEADPOOL, Alonso had no doubts about who he wanted helming the series.

"My favorite works by Daniel have been BULLSEYE: GREATEST HITS and BULLSEYE VS. PUNISHER because they were sharp, mean and funny," explains the editor. "And that's what DEADPOOL needs to be."

"Paco's style just seems right for the book," continues Alonso. "The brutal super hero action will be peppered with humor. There's something buoyant about Paco's work."

Medina says he couldn't be happier with his new gig: "It's very flattering that Marvel would trust me a second time with starting a new series. Together with the fact that Juan Vlasco and Marte Garcia—the rest of the art team—will be moving [from NEW WARRIORS] with me makes this one of the best moments in my career."

Medinas not too bad. Could be worse. The guy illustrating Way's Wolvie vs DP could have been doing it.

I wish Deadpool made more appearances in major Marvel events. And I wish they'd happen in the main book as opposed to DP's so that it won't be 100% jokes all the time.

I actually spoke with Duane Swierczynski at Comic Con...He was an extremely great guy and my chat with him only made me thrilled for what's to come.

I was planning on going to NYCC, possibly could have gone with Tim Callahan (he was at a booth courtesy of Sequart.com, I believe - wrote a book on Grant Morrison's early work) had I asked. But alas, I remembered that UFC 83 was last night, and my cousin was fighting, and I'd not miss that live for the world.

Err, whoops. I'm sorry, Outcry dearest. I missed this post in my brief hiatus due to the end of the semester. To answer your question, my cousin is Georges St-Pierre, and he whooped and took his welterweight championship back. :D

I liked Cable #3. A lot.

Heh, surprised not many people are jabberin over the character at the end of this issue either.

Try [BLACKOUT]Cannonball[/BLACKOUT], more like. It's a similar costume to his current, and [BLACKOUT]Cyclops[/BLACKOUT] would never wear anything that gaudy. Not to mention: [BLACKOUT]they're goggles, not a visor.[/BLACKOUT]

...could have sworn..somebody had scooped THAT appearance in this book like a couple months ago.

and said character seems to be popping up ALL over the place suddenly.

oh and congrats to your cousin, Bastard

i understand about end of the semester, i just had one too, and KICKED ASS in all my classes, 4 As, 2 Bs(i can live with that)

Yeah, to be honest I wasn't sure who that was end the end either....At Comic Con I spoke w/ Way (I know...Many of you would rather give him a swift kick to the nuts) and asked him about Deadpool. He informed me all that stuff Marvel recently released, how he'll play a BIG role in SI...I also asked about the development of DP...Will he just be a ****ing joke to us or will he still have his darker side come through? He assured me Deadpool will have his serious moments. Let's hope he wasn't lying. I can't have an ongoing of just brain dead slapstick comedy.

Brain Dead Slapstick comedy has been working so far and it has been while he is doing some impossible type suicide missions. Deadpool doesn't need be overly serious or he will lose his appeal...like Spider-Man

How did Cable survive the truck getting thrown on him and the baby? And doesnt he have TK? It seemed odd of him to not just have the truck thrown back
