First Avenger OFFICIAL: Chris Evans is Captain America

That is pretty awesome. A cool couple of panels.

Yeah, Miller's Born Again had these gems in it too. An absolutely great description by Murdock of Cap's physical prowess.

David Mazzucchelli's art is spectacular.

Those are promo pics for the remake/re-imagining of "Bosom Buddies".

Airing Monday nights at 8 only on CBS.

Synopsis:

Two single men. One a God, the other a super soldier from 1942. Both fight crime and must disguise themselves as women to live in the one apartment they could afford.

YOu guys hear Evans using a Brooklyn accent in the latest trailer

Yeah the "once you start running they'll never let you stop" line it's pretty noticeable. But he doesn't seem to go too overboard wiht it either.

Yeah, it should be slight but not overbearing. Some actors try and make characters from the east coast or the south sound TOO cliche.

I was about to make that joke and then didn't

in the new trailer... the part where they showed huge guys run away from the 'live' grenade while steve selflessly runs towards it.... it screamed steve rogers to me. i love that they added that in the trailer. a few girl i was with had a teary smile after, then laughed when jones was like , he's still skinny. :D

It really is, looks great.

I watched Cellular again the other night - first time my gf had seen it. Still a good film. Chris Evans is pretty watchable in it, you can kinda tell he's going places even back then - he has a good range and commands the screen well. To be honest, after FF I'd never have thought he would end up playing someone like Captain America, but after watching the recent trailers he looks perfect for it : buffed up, totally different period hairstyle, and a more serious attitude than seen before .............

Skinny Steve will be his biggest challenge, acting wise. He's competing with the CGI for what will probably be a third of the movie. If he can make you forget you're staring at a special effect instead of a person, the dude really deserves an Oscar he will never get.

I have to admit. Im not a fan of the mask. I was getting used to his Steve Rogers look...lol

Thank god they cast Chris Evans as Cap. America! I had feared that they go with Ryan Reynolds.

^^ Agreed, lol. Reynolds would be perfect for Deadpool though and I can't wait for him to actually star in a Deadpool film.

Deadpool is more likely now with GL flopping. But I don't know how more likely it is. probably not much.

I wouldn't say Evans deserves the Oscar if it works that well. It's not like he sucked his gut in and gave everyone the impression that he was nearly a foot shorter and a hundred pounds lighter. It should go to the visual effects team.

Looking at those Hemsworth photos makes me really jealous that we didn't get him for Superman before he did Thor.

Why? Hemsworth was a great fit for Thor and Cavill will make a great Superman.

It's perfect the way it is.

I don't know. I'd think he might want to stay away from comic book movies.

If there's anyone he can play with our full confidence, it's Deadpool. Who knows, audiences cold embrace him as Deadpool. But the concept itself could go either way with audience turn out. If Deadpool flops, then yeah, he should rethink his plans a bit.

I still can't get past the fact that they cast someone who would be perfect for Deadpool as Hal Jordan. Just seem silly to me.

I think Evans will bring an interesting take on this incarnation of the character. It's not my favourite Cap, but it sure seems like it works.

I'm really, really rooting for him. Everything he has said so far has been spot on. I hope everything he does lives up to it.

I mean you can't say that stuff and perform badly right? If you have those ideas, you make sure to do them right. And he has a director and crew to help him.

I'm actually really curious to see if he can still perform with what I believe will be heavily critiqued body replacement cgi working at full blast.
So far it looks pretty good with some shaky moments. It seems to work best when he's moving and fighting as opposed to say the registration office scene.

That's something in a trailer that's out of context and cut around.

Blake Lively's "This test today - it's important" line sounded better in the film. At least better sounding than the trailer.
