As for Ice and AS, keeping them on would be nice because we'd have 16 owners, evenly dividing up the 512 characters.


As for owners playing with themselves...I mean fighting against themselves, going by votes could screw the owner if enough people get together and knock out the 'better' character Whereas, if it's the owner's choice, they have incentive to choose who they think will do best.

I do think the debate in that kind of fight should probably be open to everyone to participate.

I need one other point of discussion with Wiegeabo and JH; plus, we welcome anyone's point of view. If a participant has two characters fighting each other, how do we want to proceed this season? Last season, the participant got to rule who proceeded in the match, even if it went against the popular vote. Do we want to do that again? I know we thought about dropping that rule, and have be the vote determine who goes on.

Also, having two of your own characters fighting sometimes effects the giving out of winning prizes for Round 1 & 2. If we want, we can eliminate points going when a player has two of their characters battling.

Keep it, they have to lose one character as it is, they should at least get to pick which one... :meow:

I actually like wiegeabo's idea that everyone debates it. Or for that round, have two other random participant's debate for each character, but still let the original owner get the points for it and gets his/her character back the next round.

that's actually kind of a tough call. The problem with eliminating the points for those matches is that somebody out of sheer coincidence could battle themself a lot more than other players, and you are cutting down on their opportunities to score points.

How liekly is it to have more than one participant fight themsleves in the same round? If it happens pretty often, you could switch the characters owner's and have them fight each other. It's hard to explain, but like:

Wolverine (Darthpere)
vs.
Sabretooth (Darthpere)

and

Electro (kytrigger)
vs.
Spiderman (kytrigger)

you could change owner's to

Wolverine (Darthpere)
vs.
Sabretooth (kytrigger)

Electro (kytrigger)
vs.
Spiderman (Darthpere)

only works in the first round though, and you're actually more likely to get it from round two onwards as inequalities in roster size start to come up

I say make a list for Ice and AS, as it will help keep everything even. I know them both well enough to know that Ice would want Iceman first on his list, and that AS is fond of Stryfe. If you guys want, we could customize the list a little by putting each of those characters fairly high up on their list (maybe not #1, as they haven't found time to make their own lists), but that way they at least have a chance to get their favorate characters. The rest can be just the list of 512. I know that Ice was a great participant last season, so I think we can swing this for him. Ok, Wiegeabo. Give MidnightIce a list with #1 character being Iceman, and do the say for AnnoyingSilence with his #1 character Stryfe; then, just put the remaining 512 in it's normal order. If they don't participate, their characters that survive Round 1 will be given out at the beginning of Round 2.

We'll let the character's owner decide who will move on; but, as usual, anyone can debate their matches and the popular vote might help them decide who should move on.

So, whenever you can do it this weekend, run the lists. You should have 16 lists.

Composite?
with or without Ka Stone?
Merged with the Living Computer of Xanadar?
