The Dark Knight Official Critics Reviews of TDK

it's just a negative review. that's all. it's on the previous page for the review.

There WILL be negative reviews. The film is far from perfect.

at first I've noticed them (the weird editing) but then like what most people say..you can't stop thinking about the movie. Then you'll want to see it again.

And with the second viewing, it got much better. It's one of those movies.

Yeah well, about 90% of the worlds population disagrees with you, pal... The "far from perfect"-line is something you could have said about Superman Returns.. But this here movie!??? Who are you trying to fool! The movie is damn near bulletproof! Every movie has their flaws in some aspect yes, but TDK is something NEAR p-e-r-f-e-c-t! So dont come around here with your "faaar from perfect"-line, cause it's totally and utterly BULL-****!

If you would just have a chill pill or a camomile tea or a valium, you will see my review on the earlier page (also accessible via my signature, in which I gave it 9 out of 10). But the movie still isn't perfect. Many criticisms raised are valid observations, it's just a matter of how much people feel they detract from the movie. It's not even damn near perfect. And that's not bulllcrap, that's my opinion. If you are going to be on the Hype, you'd better get used to other people having opinions that are different to yours. Get used to it fast.

1)Your oppinion
2)No movie is perfect in the eyes of everyone.

I pity the people who find faults in everything...i dont know..it makes them more intelegent in their mind,it makes them feel outside of the masses?People ***** when they've got Catwoman,B&R,Ghostrider,F4,X-men 3 and so on....now we have a movie that trandescendes the genre,a head and shoulders above everything else and still there are people who critisize it like it full of flaws...

I can see finding flaws in mediocre movies...but when you start critisizing movies like There Will Be Blood,No Country For Old Men,Return Of The King,The Godfather...movies that are the pinnacle of their genres...you'll never fully enjoy any movie.

In the end, this is entertanment...it's not your future wife,so you dont have to be bothered by every little detail there is...if you do?
Then i'm happy i'm not any of you.

The biggest mistake most of people do here:They enjoy a movie as far as it's consistant with their views and oppinions of how the said character/movie needs to be made...not what the actual movie is.

A little review, from a tiny little island.

The Dark Knight" is among the most intellectually stimulating and thought-provoking comic-hero adaptations to date. A true loss to Hollywood, the promising Ledger left behind a monumental performance and has definitely raised the standards exponentially for future comic-hero antagonists.

He gave it a 9 out of 10, so obviously whatever flaws he did find did not greatly hamper is enjoyment of the film. I noticed plenty of the same flaws and some REALLY bothered me: Bale's Batman voice, for instance. It totally took you out of some scenes when he was choking himself -- he should have just used his John Connor voice form the T4 trailer; that sounded perfect. There are plenty of other flaws as well and they don't hamper the enjoyment of the film (for some of us), but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

You can't just tell people not to criticize the movie, even if it was fantastic, because that is a huge reason these forums exist. I also don't feel the user you quoted was out of line in any way, unlike others who strongly disliked the movie (which is ok), but instead of having reasonable discussion about it they toss out smart ass witticisms about the movie's badness.

This post is made of so much win, i just wanna print it out and frame it!

Let me start by saying that, as a Briton, I still haven't seen TDK, so I am just speaking off the top of my head. But could this be one of those seminal moments in which a pillar of the arts establishment slightly estranges itself from the audience it claims to represent, with the intention of ignoring popularist media even if it is good?
You think the Academy might ignore TDK just because it's popular, even though it's real good, and that will annoy people?
Speak English man, your multisyllabic language has no place here!

Tickets bought for Thursday afternoon! Yippee! I am agerly anticipating this motion picture experience, expecting it to be akin to the second coming of Christ and the discovery of Atlantis all wrapped up in a neat little package.
Either that, or it will be a decent way to spend 2.5 hours on a dreary Thursday afternoon.

Why are you looking for negative reviews? Haven't you seen the movie? Perfection.

Yes, absolutely. There are going to be negative views, such is life. I guess some people find the negativity hard to stomach when they are really in awe of something. I thought it was a superb movie, but it's always going to struggle to live up to the monumental hype surrounding it. I could see faults in it for sure, but I did give it 9 out of 10.

Dang! I cant believe this movie is gonna get a 95%?! Thats insane

You couldn't be more wrong. It's a very good movie, but is nowhere "near perfect."

You loved 10,000 BC. Just wanted to throw that in there.

And I've just bought the double-disc DVD of 10,000BC as well.

If you're trying to be some kind of control freak dictating what i can and cannot enjoy, you are failing dismally.

I gave 9 out of 10 to The Dark Knight. What's your problem? Because whatever it is, it is YOUR problem. :whatever:
