Anyway,...I don't care what it is he's blasting...I just want to see some more of his raw blasts like at the train station in X1, but in a combat situation..

I've never been that much of a Cyclops fan until the films, and I just have high hopes that he'll have a more expanded role that he's rumored to have.. This reallyn is the film to show off Marsden's acting chops..

:)

Yeah I wanna see this too. If there are Sentinel's(IF) then he could rip off his visor and blast them to bits. That would be awesome!
Anyway, him letting loose will be fun. :cyclops:

This thread...is so..alive....I can feel it's P O W E R!

Cyclops better freakin live. I mean, what is X-Men without Cyclops?

He's their leader. Their assy yet likeable at times leader. He's Xavier's biggest backer upper guy. Lol. If there was a sequel to me, and Cyclops wasn't in it, or died prematurely. It'd just be very odd.

wonder what his new visor will look like ?hm.... thats if he get one at all

Of course he'll get a visor. You can't have Cyke without a visor. They'll likely do a redesign of the one from X2... Nothing too different though, I don't think so at least.

As long as Cyclops can actually use his visor, then I DON'T CARE :)

lol yea thats what i meant , i hope that he like actually gets to use it , the shades are cool but i only want to see him without his visor is if he blast the **** out of something

Technically, that isn't a haiku. Too many lines and syllabels, but it is a good try still.

If you deduce what's going on in the spider_man_2 "spoiler" thread, it kinda sorta looks like Cyke lives. Shall we start getting our hopes up?

Well I'm not so sure about that particular 'scoop'.

Yeah, but wouldn't the privileged posters who supposedly know the outcome of Cyke's demise flat out tell the guy he was lying if he really did bite the dust in the first 5 minutes? Just my theory.

I doubt anyone posting here really knows what's going to happen. I find it doubtful Fox and the production team is this porous that all this info is legit(or any of it). If any of it turns out to be true, it is more the fact it's a coincidence. The only thing we knew was real was the script leak on AICN months back. And that's because it was confirmed. I look at the rest of this stuff as crap, or atleast entertaining crap.
I still Hope that Cyclops gets to live and be useful, and not disappear for most of the film.

I DON'T THINK THEY'LL KILL HIM.i WONDER IF HE WILL HAVE THE STUBBLE AGAIN.

Sigh.

Cyclops will never get justice, because his entire character is based around an X-Men ideal that does not exist in the movies.

That ideal is that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. That with teamwork and coordination, great things are possible.

Wolverine is the posterboy for the X-Men movies. Which is a goddamn shame. Because he is the antithesis of everything that the X-Men are about.

The movies might as well just be Wolverine and Friends. Because no one else really matters. It's really insulting to those of us who actually remember a time when Wolverine was barely significant to the comics. (I can't claim to be from a time before 1975.. but I was around for the original X-Factor in '86.)

X-Factor was the most amazing thing to ever happen in X-Men history. Suddenly the old (less interesting?) original X-Men had been brought back together and were back in the forefront of the comic scene.

It's like.. whoever writes these movies.. just doesn't get it. It was never about "Look how strong this guy is. He's amazing. He's the X-Man." It was about people from different backgrounds with different personalities and different strengths coming together to solve problems.

Believing in a cause.

What's Wolverine's cause? "I'm cool! Shut up or I kill you."?

Idiocy, I say.

I agree to a point, Malakh.

I love Wolverine and I understand why he's the money maker. He has the most mainstream appeal..and of course, Fox will jump on it. Also, Jackman captured the character so well that I admire it.

At the sametime, Logan represents the anti X-Men, while the guys who SHOULD deserve more credit within the team (Cyclops) gets no love :(

Yeah.. That's pretty much my point.

I see Wolverine's value as an individual.. But the movie is called X-Men.

I'm not looking forward to the Wolverine spinoff. I'm expecting a Punisher clone with more "attitude."

Anyhow.. I'll be happy to see Angel and Beast get a chance to shine..

Cyclops was never one of my favorite characters as a child. Still not a big fan of him, but due to Marsden's portrayal in the first film. I really come to notice how I should respect him more.

He's the team leader. The one that holds the group together, without him they'd crumble and fall. Sure, they have Storm to fall back on, but Storm as a leader is entirely different from Cyclops as a leader and is not the same.

He's Xavier's biggest backer. He's always there for Charles at a moment's notice. This is an element they really showcased well in X-Men, I think. Sure, he lead his team well there also, but not to the extent he should have. He was out shadowed by Wolverine. Who unlike, Cyclops, is the opposite of what an X-Man is.

Cyclops is the X-Man. He's the ultimate one in the way he holds himself in his believes of Xavier's plight. How he leads the team.

What gets me is, the lack of Marsden talk for X3. Why is the script not being written to cater to both Cyclops and Storm. This could easily be both of them's films. Storm is Jean's best friend, and Cyclops her lover/fiancee. Two of the biggest people in Jean's life. Two people whose death and resurrection will affect the most. Why not showcase this? Why not showcase how Scott and Ororo feel. Show a bond between them as leaders, leading the team tighter now that they've lost someone they both love. Show a bond between them as friends. (Something that is lacking with all the characters if you ask me. Not just these two.)

I totally agree, Bill.

I love Logan..but he's a woman-stealing man. Honestly, Cyclops didn't do anything wrong. He may have been uptight and serious, but he means well. He's a good guy, and now a hairy jerk is getting in his way?

Cyclops is Jean's boyfriend and Storm was her best friend; center around them! Logan doesn't know Jean as much as they do. So if X3 had a scene where Logan gets the 'girl' that would be a crime actually.

Yes. I hope if Cyclops does kick the bucket. That they just send Jean with him. Because I do not want the chance of Jean being alive and Logan getting 'the girl" it just totally goes in the way of many years of comic history.

That's another thing that needs to be portrayed more on. Cyclops love for Jean. Her love for him. There's some nice moments over all in the series about this, but not nearly enough if you ask me. Like the scene where she attempts to use Cerebero in X1 and he rushes towards her in a panic. The scene of Jean's demise in X2 and Scott's panic to get Jean back into the X-Jet. The protectiveness of her over the course of X1 from Wolverine. The scene between Jean and Scott as he's controlled by Stryker's serum. Jean's little speech to Wolverine, before totally macking out with him. (Eck.)

The film really needs to build on the fact that Jean Grey loves Scott Summers and not the other way as the general public is being lead to believe. She does not love Logan in the way she loves Scott and they need to show this.

I just think its a shame that none of the characters get any background information unless they have a pivotal role in Wolverine's story.

I mean.. Sure, Cyclops got no love in the movies.. but he's really gotten no anything. He's a blank slate. All we know is that he's rigid and he's Jean's boyfriend and he's not that smart. (They'd have us believe..)

It's a mockery of his character.

Cyclops is rigid because he knows the value of discipline. All the mutants have a burden of power on their shoulders, but as leader.. trying to manage loyalty to the Professor, loyalty to his friends, loyalty to law and order.. I'd say the burden weighs heaviest on him.
