It doesn't have to be more accurate -- it's just needs a better storyline and character development.

I mean, he literally f**ked up (in every sense of the word) Starscream, Shockwave, Soundwave, The Fallen, etc.

This post is an oxymoron and therefore does not exist.

Well, look into their history.

Starscream was never the same bot that appeared in the Tv show or comics. He was never a loyal soldier to Megatron -- he had his own agenda.

Hell, Bay only gave Shock and Sound a couple of minutes in this trilogy.

I don't care. You just proved my point. If you want it to be more accurate then go watch those terrible cartoons that were good when we were kids.

So I am stupid for lowering my expectations for a movie in a series that has provided nothing more than explosions and CGI.

I was entertained by the movie and I will be damned if I have to justify that to you or anyone else.

You already did attempt to justify it. You're damned, I guess.

The point I'm getting at is that you shouldn't have to lower your expectations to the point this movie is asking you to. Inception, for example, proved that brains, heart AND action can be a veritable box office smash.

This series is a pathetic excuse for "entertainment". If watching robots smash things up for two hours gets your rocks off, more power to you. Some of us (and I'm definitely no snob) are looking for a little something more.

I care more about Jazz and Sideswipe. 1 should not have been killed off and they both should've had bigger roles. Ironhide too, but at least he made it to the last movie.

Furthermore, he killed off some characters because he thought either they were annoying, or because it would be 'fun'.

"I object...your honor he's claiming to know the mindset and thought processes of another person"

You're from Texas, and hate MMA, your opinion will always be weak to me.

Let the records show that Bay himself stated that he killed off Arcee because he found the character 'annoying'.

In addition your honor, he used the word 'fun' when he decided Jazz's fate.

I don't think he really wanted her in the movie in the first place.

The writers' said that they chose to kill Jazz because after Optimus and Bumblebee, he's the one that the fans would've cared about the most.

Megatron wasn't a giant gun. I hate this movie.

How hard was this Bay? You ruined my life. These movies are awful.

Did you see the first one???
Did you see the second one???
So why did you think the third one would be any different???
I change my expectations based on what I am going to see. Should I expect high caliber storytelling on Drive Angry or Pirhanna 3D???

i agree. some people are deeper thinkers and always want intelligence in their movies which the first one tried to do and i thought the rest would pick up on, but never did. horrible character development which has nothing to do with whether its a popcorn flick or not and in fact i hate the term pop corn flick to describe a shallow 2 hrs of entertainment. a film is either well made in every aspect or its not. a movie can not just have good dialogue or just good action or just good acting or just cool visuals or just good cinematography...EVERY MOVIE should strive to have good EVERYTHING as a whole and never let anything slide.

Seems Michael Bay just wanted to make people say cool and laugh here and there which isnt all he should have focused on as that deems poor replay value. did bumble EVER talk and have a full conversation with ANY OTHER AUTO BOT in these movies? "i want to stay with the boy" is all we got? and the only time optimus is really conversing where u get interaction between the robots is in the first movie. smh poor poor story telling

My verdict: I liked the darker tone and that Bay was true to his word in regards to the toiler humor being toned down quite abit. I though Rosie Whightington Huntley did a good job as Carly; found her to be a lot more likeable and attractive than Fox was. Sentinel Prime was cool and Leonard Nimoy gave a good peformance. I though the Autobots got some character.

Personally, my biggest gripe was just that I feel the Decepticons got the shaft. If there was one thing that I thought ROTF did well was giving them some character, which I felt was kind of lost in DOTM. They just didn't really feel like they had as strong of a presence as they did in the previous two films. Shockwave in particular was really a missed oppurtunity after how much they hyped him up. Soundwave really didn't do much, Starscream went out like a chump, and Megatron was just a bit too pathetic to me. I really think they shoud've taken a que from the comics with Shockwave upsurping Megatron as leader of the Decepticons. Forcing an uneasy Optimus/Megatron alliance against Sentinel and Shockwave.

Overall, I liked the film, but I was unsatisfied with how the Decepticons were handled.

Regardless, it'll be interesting to see what Paramount and Hasbro will do next. Considering the the way DOTM ended, I don't see how they have no choice but to reboot. In which case, I hope they give Neil Bloomkamp a look.

They don't have to reboot it. Just resurrect Megatron as Galvatron, Starscream as Cyclonus and Soundwave as Scourge.

Just an option.

They could do Hot Rod, Ultra Magnus, Grimlock,Galvatron and Unicron in 4.

I gotta riddle.

Without suspense what's the point of an action scene? You don't care about the outcome and it's not a thrilling experience.

Then the action scenes you don't care about go on for over 45 minutes. lol. It's not entertainment it's just an assault of boring noise.

^ I agree. There are enough characters and stories to just continue the series. Obviously, with a different creative team. A revamp, not a reboot.

I think it would be easier to have Galvatron be a new bot. Brining back Megatron for the 2nd time might be tough haha.
