what a truly spectacular failure of a film.. The only good thing about this was the end action scene, some of the best action in history of cinema in terms of realism of the SFX but come on the rest of it was dire ****... The new british girl was hot but so ****ing annoying and Shia... someone just spear his ass... I was actually hoping when he was hanging off that robot with that metal tether that he'd just get himself slammed into a huge chicago building and just go splat and that's it, end of that little **** there.

Optimus was taking a ****ing nap on those wires? what the hell was he doing. AND HE STILL Can't win a fight on his own... he pleads for his life then cheaply waits for Megatron to weaken Sentinel then takes them out... what the ****...

This movie was fun. It was completely idiotic at times and I wish we had a bit more of Optimus, Shockwave and Megatron, but whatever. I know to lower my expectations when I go to see a Bay movie. The way I looked at it was, if it didn't suck as bad as Revenge of the Fallen, it will probably be okay. And not only was it better, but it never bored me like Fallen did. I was a bit worried in the beginning... Shia seemed like he was in panic mode before there was a reason to be in panic mode and good God, I couldn't wait for Ken Jeong to die... but after that it kind of evened out. Rosie Huntington-Hottie did fine for a girl that has never acted before. And I especially loved the Spock references with Sentinel Prime.

One minor gripe.

Goddamnit, STOP PUTTING BILL O'REILLY IN MOVIES!!! This is the second time I've walked into a summer blockbuster film and unknowingly had to see his despicable mug, and it's really starting to piss me off. It damn near ruined Iron Man 2 for me and it nearly ruined this. If he shows up in The Avengers, I'm walking out of the f**king theater, I swear to God.

I understand that there are people who see these movies that are fans of his. It's their right to watch the movie too. But I just wish studios would steer clear of giving facetime to people like him in films. If it's a political movie, fine. But when I go to see Transformers, I want to be entertained for two-plus hours and not have to worry about watching someone who I find completely offensive mug for the camera.

I was actually bored during the end of the movie. After God knows how long of constant explosions and such, I stopped caring. Then the movie just ended. Two minutes of "inspiring philosophy" from Optimus and then the screen goes black. Never have I seen a writer more clearly have no idea how to end a movie.

LOL, yeah, that was a really abrupt ending. My friends and I were like, "Huh? That's it?" Then there was that scene with Turturro and McDormand, which was like the movie saying, "Oh, wait! We forgot that we hinted at a past romance with these two! You were waiting for them to hook up, so here it is!"

Yeah, that was a really lame way to end it.

Also, one thing that really annoyed me was the pop music during all of the human scenes. What the hell was with that?

Put it this way .... the trailer blows away this God forsaken film.

Seriously there was so much crammed into this one it was almost like a dog got into a garbage can, feasted on everything in it, then threw it all up. I remember reading all that crap from Bay about the writers' strike being the reason the last one turned out so poorly. LaBouf even made comments recently that they had an unlimited budget and made it all up as they went along. Well what's the excuse now? I just don't understand how a movie like this gets made. I couldn't wait for it to end. There are too many secondary characters to keep track of and the story throws so much nonsense at you that it's hard to keep suspension of disbelief.

Honestly, Leonard Nimoy didn't work for me as the voice of Sentinel Prime, who looked bad ass by the way. Once again some of the cooler Autobots barely got a sniff of real action - like Sideswipe and Dino (both who I really wanted to see kick some Decepticon tail). Shockwave was too easily defeated ......... and that damned snake thing was a waste of time. One giant eye sore. BTW how is it Megatron was able to handle Sentinel? I thought only a prime could really do damage to a prime? I also couldn't stand all the various accents for the Autobots, it just became overkill .... and really a balding Autobot? ...... and I am still so pissed Soundwave doesn't have his iconic digital voice.

Uggggh. I am so disgusted. Too many stupid speeches. A forced romance. Disaster. Bay fooled me again with his trailer for this. Thank God he's done with this franchise because ever since the original it's been a complete collapse. About the only thing I enjoyed was Wheelie's sidekick.

I agree with you about the accents. Also, the one thing that sticks out to me about ALL of these movies is how none of the Autobots have much of a personality other than Optimus. Bumblebee does kind of, but he's almost like Lassie the Transformer. A big yellow puppy dog that follows Sam around and bails his ass out constantly.

Bay depended on idiotic humor, explosions and humans because he didn't have the talent to make a film that solely focused on robots. He can't -- Bay isn't a director that can summon an original idea or establish proper character development in a film.

The Rock is great, imo.

For YOU. For ME, I found it was very suspenseful. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. And I heard many gasps from the audience throughtout the entirety of the movie.

I think people should start watching movies while in a good mood instead of with their arms crossed.

Those gasps in my theater were from the life being choked out of them by the death lock of this terrible f-in film.

My arms were wide open when I first started watching. I was stoked to be there. Then by the end my arms were crossed and I no longer cared.

With Bay gone, the franchise can finally get back to it's respective roots.

It's clear that Michael doesn't have a clue in what he is doing. I swear, I could pull off a better film with my action figures on a $1,500 budget (for usage of Peter Cullen's, Hugo Weaving's, and Peter Weller's voices).

I even like Armageddon. The ending gets me every time.

He needs Bruckheimer.

Sure they could, but thats still changing things. I never said there wasn't potential in the source material. I simply stated the source material isn't that good. I'm more focused on those (few by the way, I realize this in't the majority) who honestly believe a 100% adaption of G1 would be any better than what we got. Yes, I've said Bay's films aren't very good, I agree they could have adapted the original material in a different way and it could have been better, but straight adapting a kids show into a live action Pg-13 film(again, you've made your point you don't want a straight adaption, so not directed at you) would be just as cheesy and dumb as the Bay films. Like the Bay films, I would probably still enjoy them, but they would be pretty bad movies. Also like the Bay films, they probably would have made plenty of money and made plenty of critics fall asleep. I get your argument and I agree the better aspects of G1 could have been developed into a pretty good film. What I don't get is the people(for a third time, I know its a small minority) who honestly think a straight G1 adaption would be any better than Bay's films.

I don't think the minority is that small. Most people knew who Optimus Prime before the Bayformer movies hit and that's because of G1.

Is the fanbase as big as Harry Potter? no.

But I think the G1 characters and mythos could reasonate with a much wider audience if done properly. The devils in the details.

Ugh, I forgot... Bay is taking over the TMNTs.

The guy is destroying my childhood.

Maybe Bruckheimer reels him in when he goes too far, especially when Bay tries to be funny. But I believe Bay needs to be restricted by a script that limits the number of potential explosions. In The Rock all he had were marines with guns. There were only a couple of explosions and they served the story pretty well especially the one at the end. One of my favorite moments in an action movie thanks to that great score.

At least the actress to play April is gonna be from Victoria's Secret...

Peter Weller? RoboCop is going to be in your movie? Interesting.

^LOL if he makes robots attracted to humans, no reason he wouldn't cross that line
