I'm a nice guy and I don't have a problem with women at all. I don't need to elaborate after Pickles' post.

Let's be blunt, I don't think many Nice Guys actually exist, just a lot of spineless and/or unassertive ones. You can be assertive without beating women up.

Ah, that's the word I was also looking for when describing an authentic "Nice Guy" is assertive.

Man, my husband trusts me do just about anything I want. But when I'm completely irrational about something, he does put his foot down. It's assertive and serious with a dead-pan look on his face. Ooh, when that happens I know I crossed the line. It rarely happens, and wish I could give an example because I can't recall the last time that happened and what it was I was going to do that, in most eyes, would be considered stupid. But yeah, he's no door mat when push comes to shove on making a level-headed point or defending himself. I respect that.

I've come to the conclusion there is no point in pointing this fact out to other guys with this problem. It's all economics => less competition. So it's all good for me t:

It's too bad the term "Nice Guy" gets a bad rap. To me the "Nice Guy" is the balanced guy. Laid back, confident, level-headed/calm, and can stand his own ground when confronted or threatened.

I guess when the "nice" word comes up it typically evokes the feeling of weakness, perhaps? But I always find it's the "nice" ones who kill with kindness, smarts, and class. And kick-ass when needed. And so-called "Shy Boys." Not so shy from experience. Hahaha.

The ones I found to be "weak" per se were the overly yucky types who try to hit on you and give off that feeling of desperation. *shudders*

And the overly aggressive types I stayed far away from. *spooky*

Yeah, glad I chose to be with a nice guy.

Women do go for nice guys, but many men who think they're these alleged "nice guys" aren't really nice, they're wimps who allow people to walk all over them but try to play it off as just being "nice." They even advertise the fact that they're "so nice," when in actuality, it's just a cover up for being an awkward dater/needy.

Thank you Kim, and Pickles. There's a difference between being a nice guy, and being a doormat. I like to think I'm a pretty nice guy (Kim can attest), and just because I wont start a confrontation, doesn't mean I'll back away from one.

Also all you nice guys, if you take notice there's usually shy, pretty, nice girls too, who may not be getting noticed as you drool over some scantily clad bad girl.

I just found one.

I was almost losing hope lol. I had a couple of dates lined up this week. The first was a very short one with the snottiest girl I've ever been out with who thought it'd be nice to comment on every poor fu**er who walked into the bar we were in. It lasted about 35 minutes and then I asked if she'd like to save us both some time and effort by calling it a day. I've never drank a pint so fast!

The second date blew me away and we're seeing each other again this week. She's not exactly shy, and she's naturally beautiful without needing to be really revealing just for the sake of it. Just a really nice woman - intelligent, witty, down to earth, and she also has a lot of the same interests as me. She likes a good time but isn't defined by being a constant party girl.

Ha well I learned from experience. I've ended up looking like a right sadcase at times so I made a promise to myself to never do the running. If someone doesn't feel attracted to me then that's fine, I won't lose any sleep over it.

I have friends who lose so much sleep when a girl does not show any interest and I never understood why, I just take the hit and keep it moving tomorrow is another day
