Official Dishonored Thread

Yeah, i'm not into challenge modes either. I only get DLC that add additional missions

That is great news. I am still quite early in the game (currently at the House of Pleasure mission) but I'm really enjoying it so far. I like talking my time, finding alternate routes, overhearing conversations, reading books/messages and using Blink from afar. I find Dunwall a very exciting setting and I just love the unique painting-esque style the game has. And I must say that the heart is one of the best things in the game, it's always intriguing to hear what it has to say. Can't wait to spend more time with the game.

Got this on black friday. Not sold yet. Im not a fan of first person in general. I like the perspectives used in Batman Arkham games and the Dead Space games. So that is throwing me off, and the story isnt gripping me. Perhaps with more time Ill grow to like it, but right now after the first assassination it just feels like a chore.

The story isn't like super tight or anything, its really the atmosphere and the world building that sold the game for me.

Finished the Pleasure House mission at the Golden Cat. The game has grown on me a lot. Once I got the feel for the mechanics and what I was capable of I started having fun. On this play through I am using the subtlety of a wrecking ball.:D This is one of those games Im going to be able to play through more than once. Glad I gave it another chance.

Just completed the game. Ton of fun! Can't wait for the sequel!

The game had its weaknesses, but in terms of world bulding, mechanics, sheer fun ,variety, and replay value I give it a 10/10.

Oh, and I was watching the Debut Trailer, and unlike most I was surprised to find that there wasn't one thing shown in the trailer that I couldn't do in the game. The trailer actually demonstrated the game perfectly, unlike most debut trailers which are more about spectacle than actually showing off what you can do in the game.

I was watching a youtube video of the stealth trials. They look neat, Mystery Foe especially where you have to find out who your randomly chosen target is amongst a set of party goers. If the entire DLC had been stealth scenarios I probably would have picked this up

Well some story DLC is on the way some time this year it hasn't been dated but it's good news to hear.

I am really curious as to if we are playing Corvo again or another character, possibly Daud.

A recent tweet from the official Dishonored Twitter account is teasing some kind of news for tomorrow with an image that will likely lead to rampant speculation.

Ooooooh, ****. Are we gonna get to kill the Empress?!?!? :D

EDIT: Woah, jesus. I'm sorry. The picture is...gigantic!

Anyone else got the new DLC?

I just did the first level, so far going High Chaos (since I went low as Corvo) and Daud just feels like he'd be a more violent guy...

Dishonored’s pre-order bonuses collected in the Void Walker’s Arsenal DLC, hitting 14th May

Pre-order bonuses are not my cup of tea – in addition to punishing players for not buying from a particular store, they’re often so overpowered that they spoil the game. Having said that, Dishonored’s various rewards don’t seem too imbalanced – and you’ve probably completed the game by now, anyway. Over six months after the stealthy immersive sim’s release, its pre-order gubbins has been collected into one ultro-bundle entitled Void Walker’s Arsenal DLC (I always thought Corvo was more of a Wolverhampton Wanderers man). The DLC comprises four packs: the Acrobatic Killer Pack, the Arcane Assassin Pack, the Backstreet Butcher Pack, and the Shadow Rat Pack, each one containing a handful of minor upgrades, a book and a bunch of a coins. You can grab it from Steam on May 14th for the princely sum of $3.99.

Dishonored – The Knife Of Dunwall (Xbox 360/PS3)

Victor and Scott unsheathe The Knife Of Dunwall in Dishonored. ...

synopsis: Scott and vic unsheathe the knife of Dunwall, it's great to play as a different character, and it's a refreshing change of pace form other more action centric games.

Scott's score 9.0 Vic's Score 9.0

I missed this while I was overseas. Not sure if I should pick it up now, or wait until a GOTY/Special edition comes out with all the DLC stuffs. Probably would be about the same price either way, I imagine.

this was well received so for you, Pick up the GOTY. I'm sure one is on the way.

I have a strong suspicion that this could end up as a PS Plus title
