The Avengers Official Easter Egg/Reference Thread

Yeah, that's what I thought. Hmm...

Unless they've moved, the Inhumans live on the moon, not a world.

Mentioned this on the "Thor" thread but:

Anyone noticed that Whedon had all 3 variations of Thor in the film?

Orignal Thor - (sort of) when he first appeared in the forest battle.

Ultimate Thor - when he fought the Hulk in the helicarrier.

Coipel Thor - aka chainmail, when he was fighting the Chitauri in the end.

Sweet mother of Joss!

Yeah, I caught that.

This is what happens when a comic book fan makes a comic book movie for comic book fans

Still wish they would get the helmet to where it works. I liked it in Thor but I can see why they didn't have Chris keep it on. But somewhere there's a design that will work in live action. They just need to find it.

Hey guys, at the end...

Was that Thanos, or just a random Skrull general?

I don't think it'll ever work...at least, not in the way you want it to.

He would just be constantly taking it off and/or it would keep getting in the way or falling off during fight scenes.

Furthermore, if it's just walking around Asgard and there's nothing formal going on, it's going to look a little goofy.

It could help if you referenced the scene. I don't remember him saying that; maybe he was saying "homey" or something....?
I'm trying to remember, but I got nothing. A vague recolection that it was Tony, while in flight, talking to someone, probably Jarvis

Question here: was the alien who worked with Loki and spoke to Thanos at the end supposed to be some character from the comics, or was he just some random Chitauri?

Not so much an Easter Egg, but I heard theres a scene where you can see Bruce's reflection in a computer screen as the Hulk. Did anyone else catch that and what scene is it?

To be honest I dont think the Avengers should have had easter eggs really werent the easter eggs kinda leading up to this movie?

Not too sure if it's been mentioned but right at the end scene when tony and pepper are looking at the new stark tower you can see that tony has planned a floor for each avenger, they use a logo ie a hammer for Thor and a radiation sign for hulk, it's blink and you miss it.

i missed that. Though i saw the floor he created to store the Quinjet upon my 2nd viewing.

I didn't realize this one about IM2

Project Pegasus is alluded to in Iron Man 2. Tony Stark is shown opening a wooden crate (1:24:04) marked "Project Pegasus" in preparation to synthesize a new element. Additionally, in the tie-in prelude comic to the Avengers, the World Security Council mentions that funding is being redirected from S.H.I.E.L.D to a new operation, codenamed Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S, in the aims of analyzing the Tesseract.

also.. why are some people putting these easter eggs in spoilers? Isn't the definition of an Easter Egg a spoiler anyway?

It was a great scene, yeah, but in all fairness, Zack Snyder has been taking exactly what's in the comics and translating it directly word-for-word, frame-for-frame to the screen for years now.

To be fair, Robert Rodriguez and QT did it first :marv:

Who was the senator at the end during the news coverage?

I swore I did, it was when he was conversing with Tony, when they were talking and that clear monitor was in between them, right? Not exactly as the hulk, but his face looked greenish, and a bit distorted.

And Sen. Boynton was an actual character from Iron man comics.

I don't think I saw this mention or really know if it's an Easter Egg but for most of the movie Tony is wearing a Black Sabbath shirt.
