I doubt that all of the characters shown will be a part of the JLI. Ollie for example has been confirmed to join the main Justice League book.

I'm pretty sure that the full roster that was revealed was the present day roster of the Justice League that is set after the initial 5 years ago arc.

Reminds me of the Young Justice pilot, only instead of Superboy and Robin, it's Superman and Batman. Doubt the result will be the same, though, being Batman and all.

Do we know why they're fighting in issue 2? Cause the city area looks wrecked. I bet it was over the last donut in Krispy Cremes. Superman wants his glaze and coffee or heads will role.

While that design was pretty badass (rare for Smallville i know), the New Gods are supposed to look goofy. They are from another world. I wouldnt mind it if they sublty refined their designs, but they shouldnt give them pants and collars to make them all serious.

He won't. Darkseid is a villain rarely used or understood properly.

Yeah, this doesnt feel right. It feels like a cheap stunt to me.

Also, will Batman fight with each member of the league before recruiting them? It feels like they re cashing in on his popularity at the moment, just like Hal is in the first issue because its Johns writing it. Anybody else would have left him for last.

I'm kind of Darkseid'd out from Morrison's bad usage of the New Gods in recent years. Also I thought that DC said that we wouldn't see anything from the New Gods characters until Morrison's Multiversity.

What are you talking about? Final Crisis is one of the few books that showed the New Gods the way they re supposed to be. Till then they were punching bags for Superman.

I think with Jim Lee drawing, you need to have at least one spread per issue. It's Jim Lee, afterall.

Don't see how though I wasn't looking for some clever insult I was simply stating that if he was writing them proper then damn I guess I wouldn't wanna read the original stuff which is a shame because getting the Omnibus or other hardcover TPBs was on my list to eventually check out that Kirby did. And I forget who ended up writing Countdown but Countdown led into Final Crisis so I'd imagine that they were going by what Morrison wanted/had ideas for and Countdown sucked except for a few parts that were not at all related to the New Gods.
