The superstar team of writer Geoff Johns and artist Jim Lee continue to make history as they unleash the amazing Amazon, Wonder Woman, who joins the battle against a bizarre threat! And the not-yet World’s Greatest Heroes need all the help they can get!

Wonder Woman looks frakking :awesome: on that cover

Now if Johns can actually write her well for once I might actually buy this issue

Can they just lose the choker? It pushes the silver way overboard with her new costume. Apart from looking ridic.

I dont mind the choker that much. I think she looks pretty neat on that cover

Though her hair on that cover makes it look like she's using the 'hair gel' from There's something about Mary :ninja:

First Cover that makes Wonder Woman look good to me so far.

Or you could subscribe to DC and get 12 issues at a flat rate which comes out to like 50% less than paying for every issue individually. :o

What's this logic you're using? This keen sense of intellect and cunning.

Stop that. Stop that now.

That's actually a pretty good deal

At $3.99 an issue she better be written well.

Indeed

I think every script that features Wonder Woman should have to be approved by Greg Rucka before the issue is printed

^ Rucka's punisher debut surprisingly wasnt as great as I thought it would be.
Also I'd very much like Jim lee to do more Wonder Woman stuff in future. He draws her so well IMO

Sorry to hear that :csad:

Are you going to keep buying it Oberon. I really hope that it gets better. Rucka is one of the best writers around I'm really hoping that his run on the Punisher is going to end up being a good one

I haven't read all of Rucka's work but all of his work I have read I've loved so far.

Yeah I'll defiantly read the rest of it , at least for the rest of the year anyways. The issue itself had good art and was well written. It's just that Rucka didn't really humanise Frank Castle very much, and sort of kept him in the shadows as a kind of force of death, boogyman type. was only the first issue though so hopefully he'll focuse more on Frank later on.

I think he is the best comic book writer around

I've loved all of his work. Batwoman: Elegy, Gotham Central and Wonder Woman are the comic books by him that I've loved most of all

Yeah hopefully as the series continues he'll humanise Frank a little bit more

Eh.
I'm kind of Darkseid'd out from Morrison's bad usage of the New Gods in recent years. Also I thought that DC said that we wouldn't see anything from the New Gods characters until Morrison's Multiversity.

I guess it doesn't count since it takes place in the past.

I know. Just saying. I would have been much more psyched with simply anyone else if that is indeed true.

This origin does not feature Starro the evil space starfish so it is automatically not as good as the silver age origin

Still might check the series out. But the lack of Starro makes me :csad: Unless it turns out that
Darkseid
is working with him

I wonder how exactly Johns is going to approach writing the resident God of Evil, anything less than Morrison level is a step down.
