I think Kelly's JL run was my favorite. His one issue story with Ray Palmer finding a mini civilization is one of my favorite single issues I've ever read. I think it was a Christmas special or something.

Plus, he wrote Obsidian Age. Total badassery.

And he brought back Kanjar Ro and introduced a bunch of neat new members to the League as well

I guess Hal really matures in the 5 yrs since the story in Justice League 1-6 (I miss JLA).

Actually, if you read the current Green Lantern run, you'd see that he really doesn't. He's still very immature when it comes to personal relationships, he's still a show boater who wants to impress people, he still dislikes authority (Batman in Justice League, Sinestro in Green Lantern), etc.

I think he looks aLOT better than the old Cyborg though, his old look always looked very weird to me. He looks more like a...well, cyborg now.

I honestly liked Cyborg's look from the Teen Titans cartoon. I wish that DC went with that direction.

Anybody else find issue 4 to be kind of bland? I mean, nothing really happened in terms of overall plot, especially when compared to how much goes on per issue in books like Batman and Action Comics. This plot is moving unbelievably slowly.

I dunno, I disagree. For one thing, I feel like Victor's transition into cyborg has been very fast. I almost wish they would slow down a bit. And its only issue 4 and Darkseid has already exploded onto the scene ready to battle the heroes. I'd agree that issue #1 was a bit slow but these last 3 issues picked up the pace considerably I think.

I'm really loving how Johns and Lee are cutting to the chase and having this team go toe to toe with the baddest DC villain of em all.

Loved all the GL humor. The arrow pointing at batman while Superman smirks, the lasso moment, etc. And Aquaman was badass!

But did you like his design?

I personally wanted to gauge my eyes out. From a scary dictator he became a guy in a fancy suit. Apocalypse much?

But he is a complete moron, something he wasnt pre Flashpoint. First Johns forces us to like him and then he makes him a blithering idiot. I dont get it. Why should we root for him in the GL book?

The question is how did WW know that the metal was him and not just armour? It looks like he's in an armour, not that he has cybernetic prosthetics.

Also, his origin is as cheap and lazy as they come. He should have had his own mini series about his origin, not have it shoehorned in the JL book like that, and then conveniently teleporting him into the middle of the action. I didnt think Johns would get this bad.

Nothing has ever happened in the previous issues either. Its more like Two and a Half men with superpowers and parademons. I like Bro Wonder Woman and funny stupid Hal, but that's all there is to it.

She's been surprisingly fun in JLA normally Johns is utterly awful at writing Wonder Woman so this has been a nice surprise how adorable and fun she has been to read

I just finished issue 4, and while I have some complaints, it's still a very fun read. The lasso moment made me laugh out loud.

This months issue did feel a bit faster paced than the others and Wonder Woman and Aquaman were both good fun so I dug it more than the last three

Instead of introducing Cyborg so early they shouldve just focused on the core characters and have in come in when they jump to the present. I dont need him forced down my throat and taking up page time for a team that isnt together yet.

I actually felt like issue #4 was the best of the series so far. I also don't mind a slow moving plot for an origin story.
