And that means there is something else he doesn't have

My love

Skirt & boots Darkseid > skirtless bootless Darkseid

You all know its true

I tend not to be one of these people who are like 'So-and-so writer should write everything and anything *fanwank, fanwank, fanwank*' or anything, but it is a shame that Grant Morrison doesn't seem to have a whole lot of interesting in writing the Marvels, because it seems like he's the writer to really bring that character back into prime. I don't know, hopefully this thing with Johns and Frank will end up okay, but even the vague details they are dropping isn't giving a lot of faith.

I would totally read a Captain Marvel series written by Grant Morrison

Justice League was great for a Superman fan. It was finally nice to showcase how powerful he is. He took on the whole League and beat them all with ease and installed fear in Hal and he broke his construct twice. I also loved how Superman beat Barry and Barry's reaction to Superman being able to hit him.

eh, this issue didn't do much for me. it was more heroes fighting each other and nothing else going on. There was nothing moving the plot forward. bored now.

It may not have moved the plot forward but honestly those conversation transcripts between waller and trevor were pretty damn cool. I really enjoyed this issue, tons of action, this is the first interaction between all these characters at once and they really do seem to be slightly naive at first. I'm glad there is slight discord amongst them, they don't know who each other is why would they trust each other out right? That said the book is moving very very slowly and I think will read MUCH better in a single sit down.

i love how super powered beings will be charged with the responsibility to save the world....but dont know how to talk to each other without tearing up a city first.

I actually did like how Barry was written in here. He was just so nice. Offering to clean up the mess that he really had no part in making? Seems like he'll become the moral compass of the League, which I'm good with.

I loved when Superman just ended up flicking him.

Victor's Dad is a c**t.

I really wish that they had completely redesigned Cyborg and make him more sleek and not so bulky.

Im interested to see how WW is introduced and just how she will fit into this overall.

Jim Lee draws everybody bulky. Even characters that should be thinner, like the Flash. Other artists might not make him so freakishly huge.

JL was...well, JL. Which is a sad thing to say. It's a good book and entertaining, but since I already understand the premise nothing surprises me about what is going on. I'm sure I will be hypocritical as **** when the Aquaman issue comes along, but it's sad how this isn't better than like any of the other 52 titles I am getting when it should be.

It is simply passable at this point but yeah it should be more, I agree trusty.

Yea. Looking at my list of books I get the only books that I look forward to less than this one that are Catwoman and Savage Hawkman (I'm a Hawkman fan, damnit! I'm taking the bullet :csad:). I should be looking forward to this title much more. That means that there are like 13 other books I look forward to more so far each month than JL. Only exception will be the Aquaman issue.

I like the simple nostalgia of JL. The character interactions have been good so far. does anyone know how long this creative team will be on the book?

Johns has confirmed that he and Lee are planning their second year on the title. So it seems like it'll be a little while.

sweet!

will that be the longest lee's ever stuck around for a title? lol

I bet there are some fill in artists. the longest I've ever seen Lee on a book was when he did Hush. and I'm pretty sure that still had some delays.

Lee typically stays on a title for about 12 issues ever since he started mainstream DC work. He planned on staying on All Star Batman and Robin for quite a bit longer but you know the story.

Batman: Hush and Superman: For Tomorrow were both 12 issue arcs and both did not face major delays. Asides from All-Star Batman and Robin, Lee's work with DC has been timely for the most part. And the reason why All-Star Batman and Robin ended up being the debacle that it is is because Lee took on far too much work with WildC.A.T.S., designing DC Universe Online (which took up most of his work), cover work, conventions, and being the publisher for WildStorm Productions was just far too much on his plate.

However, now Lee is just focusing on his Co-Publishing duties at DC and working on Justice League. He's limited the amount of covers and conventions he's doing, he's making sure that he does one page a day (take into account that he does about 20 - 22 story pages for the book), and he's had quite a bit of lead time with the book.

Johns has said that he and Lee are already discussing about issues #12 and #13 and Johns went to New York about his plans for the second year on the title. Would I be surprised to see a fill-in artist for an arc? No. But do I expect delays even with Lee on art? Not at all, DC and Jim Lee are doing everything to keep this book not only track, but ahead of schedule.

that's good to hear. I have plenty of problems with Jim Lee, but a book like JL is right up his alley. Minimal character work and lots of big action pages.

i might actually drop this book. im generally a completist collector. but i need to knock that off. i want a really good JL book, the book it deserves to be. this isnt it. i need to not buy it just because its JL.

Yeah what Hippie said, Lee has been very timely with his work. Now that DC Universe is out he has more time. He said when he became co-publisher he actually got MORE TIME to create art because he basically makes his own schedule.

I read Justice League #2 and LOVED IT!! It was like a big movie with all the big characters coming into play.

yeah I liked it

I think I'm gonna like it much more when I can sit down and read through johns and lee's entire run
