I thought he was just pointing out that the covers look similar in a "Neat!" kind of way.

But he hates almost anything new. The only comics that count for him are the pre-COIE comics. To him Green Arrow joining the League for the first time is stupid because it's already been done.

Now, let's say that the arrow actually could pierce the diamond, does anyone know where it's going to land?

If you said "between Hal's ribs", you'd be correct.

Fifth issue was dissapointing! Where is Superman? Wonder Woman? Cyborg? Flash? Aquaman?

It's always Green Lantern and Batman in Justice League new 52!!

That's as good a place as any if you ask me. :o

What happened in issue five

Flash runs, Supes gets abducted, GL tries to beat Darkseid but fails, GL&Bats have a heart to heart with Bats revealing his identity who GL doesnt even know a thing about, Bruce runs off to find Supes, GL tries to take leadership of JL while S/B are gone, Bruce ends up on Apokolips. WW/Cyborg/Aquaman and basically Flash are just background characters.

And we have WW/Cyborg/Aquman sketches in the back.

WW is 6', Cyborb 6'5, Aquaman 6'1. Cyborg/Aquman need to go on diets because they both weigh over 300lbs. WW remains shortest member though Flash/GL may possibly be shorter. Oh and looks like WW cant fly since GL flies everyone with his ring.

this issue is flat out horrible. I wanted to stick it out for the entire first arc before I dropped this book, but I don't know if I want to even do that any more.

Okay umm...how stupid was it for Batman to unmask himself out in the public?

Not to mention to a hero that was having a very hard time keeping the Flash's identity secret during the midst of battle.

Hal is taller than Di, but Barry isnt.

Official heights:

Bruce: 6'2
Clark: 6'3
Hal: 6'2
Barry: 5'11
Diana: 6'
Arthur: 6'1
Victor: 6'5

I was like 'okay...' when bruce unmasked himself

then he ran off without it and I was like 'wut.'

Green Lantern doesn't know who Bruce Wayne

The famous infamous billionaire playboy who's name and face is never out of the papers or the tabloids

And he doesn't know who he is

I'm scared that the Guardians gave this version of the character a ring

I'm questioning their alien smurf-y wisdom right now :ninja:

They don't seem to have any wisdom anymore. Geoff Johns systematically took it all away, leaving a bunch of cold blue jerkwads in their place. The way they're portrayed now, it's honestly sort of surprising that they formed the GLC to protect the universe at all rather than forming some other organization dedicated solely to s***ting all over the universe's metaphorical Cheerios.

I'm amazed they ever shut down the Manhunter robots. The dbags that currently make up the Guardians seem like they'd be totally okay with genocide except for Ganthet

I think the Guardians are already plotting more ways to mess everything in the universe up :csad:

Unless the next issue is a huge improvement, I don't think I'll be sticking with the book for much longer.

At least there wasn't much room in this issue to watch Superman act like a prick. Hal seemed to take Clark's share.

Did Batman really run off without his mask

What the what

Disapointed that Aquaman and Wonder Woman didn't do much as their my two favourites in the league right now

Yes he did. He still had it in his hands but didnt bother putting it back on. Lucky for him the city was in ruinsand it wasnt broad daylight.

All WW did was yell for battle or something. If she has had her flight taken away from her I will not be happy.

Thus far 5 issues in and this just seems to the Batman/GL/Cyborg happy hour.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around why Batman unmasked himself.

He basically takes it off just to illustrate to Hal that they're the only two regular human beings on the team (as if it matters in the circumstance), then says "smell ya later" and takes off, still unmasked. Was he trying to go undercover or some s**t like that?

I'm not quite sure what to make of it, considering that Batman and Flash were my favorites on the team so far, as they seemed to be the only ones able to come up with a coherent thought beyond simply saying "let's fight!" Was my faith in Bruce's sanity misplaced?

I was slightly confused why Bruce wasted his time aswell, he and Hal may be the only two without their own built in powers but Hal has a ring that makes him a decent force to be reckoned with. Bruce has nothing just his own fighting abilities and being smart.

I think (I'm not sure) the point of Batman removing the cowl was that the Parademons were scooping up regular people and the out of commission heroes (Superman) and fighting the standing heroes. Batman took his cowl off so they wouldn't recognize him and take him where they took everyone else instead of trying to fight him.

I'm so dissapointed that Hal didn't say 'Bruce Wayne? Why are you dressed up like Batman?' :awesome:

You know I read a comic book where Batman rides underground dinosaurs and blows up Robin this month

And this still sounds like the most ridiculous comic book dc has published :ninja:

Well, he spends most of his time inside of women, planes, or outer space. There aren't newspapers or tabloids in any of those.
