Well, I grabbed the first 4 issues the other day, and loved them. When I go back tomorrow I'm picking up #5. Question: Was Brainy that egotistical pre-Crisis? If so what the hell did Kara see in him?
Brainy was pretty egotistical in the Foundations TPB that I read (the story where Conner "Superboy" Kent ends up in the future to help the previous incarnation of the Legion out against Darkseid). Pretty much the only person he wouldn't condescend to was Invisible Kid. It was handled in a more comedic way than the current Brainy is though.
Oh okay, even though I'm a huge fan of both the Pre Crisis S-Boy and S-Girl, I never got into Legion. I just knew that Kara and him had quite the thing at one time...
She also went for Atlanteans, normal humans, and alternate dimension superheroes. It may have been Brainy's green skin that did it... Gar may have a shot
Arion was an Atlantean sorcerer from the distant past. He was set up as Power Girl's grandfather in post-Crisis continuity, until Johns debunked that with an issue of JSA where Arion's soul tells Power Girl that he lied to her.
Hahahahahaha! Supergirl is TOTALLY freaking out in that pic! Look at her face.
Poor Kara, I hope Comet didn't have some horse left in him when he turned human. Otherwise, she would have been in for a BIG surprise! (Yeah, I know comics from that era would NEVER go there).
I have to say I love this series. I picked up #6 early this yearand then I went back and bought all the back issues.
I'm a little dissapointed in the way they seem to spotlight the certain characters. It's mostly Cosmic Boy, Brainy and Invisible kid.
I hope they put a little bit more variety into it sometime.
